Cumnock Juniors
Cumnock Juniors Football Club are a Scottish football club based in Cumnock, Ayrshire. The Nock play their home games at Townhead Park and compete in the West of Scotland Football League. History Birthed in 1912, they have a history of local and national success. Their nearest neighbours and rivals are Auchinleck Talbot. Both have shared many a hard-fought battle on the field. These matches are often looked upon as Junior football's equivalent to the "Old Firm" with passionate supporters from both sides. In the 1970s and 1980s this game would often attract a crowd of around 6000; although it has dwindled a bit over the years, the respect and rivalry is still noticeable. A Scottish Junior Cup tie between the two sides in the mid-1970s attracted well over 8000 spectators. Cumnock won 2–1. Cumnock
Cumnock (Scottish Gaelic: ''Cumnag'') is a town and former civil parish located in East Ayrshire, Scotland. The town sits at the confluence of the Glaisnock Water and the Lugar Water. There are three neighbouring housing projects which lie just outside the town boundaries, Craigens, Logan and Netherthird, with the former ironworks settlement of Lugar also just outside the town, contributing to a population of around 13,000 in the immediate locale. A new housing development, Knockroon, was granted planning permission on 9 December 2009 by East Ayrshire Council. The town is home to the Robert Burns Academy, a new educational campus housing the main Robert Burns Academy secondary school following the merger of Cumnock Academy and Auchinleck Academy, Lochnorris Primary School and Cherry Trees Early Childhood Centre. Carlo Monti (footballer)
Carlo Gordon Monti (born 10 July 1990) is a Scottish professional footballer, who plays for Beith Juniors in the West of Scotland League. He has previously played at Scottish Championship level for Greenock Morton and Dundee. Club career Monti started his career with Celtic, signing as a nine-year-old and working his way through the ranks to the Celtic first team squad where he was earmarked as an attacking wing-back by the late Tommy Burns. He left the club at 18 to sign for Greenock Morton in April 2009. Monti scored the first goal of his senior career with a 20-yard drive in the 2–1 defeat away at Dunfermline. He also scored the winning goal as Morton avoided relegation, at the same time relegating Ayr United, on 1 May 2010. Ayrshire Junior Football League
The Ayrshire Junior Football League, known as the Western Junior League from 1919 until 1968, was a football league competition operated in Ayrshire under the Scottish Junior Football Association which operated until a merger in 2002. The league was formed in the aftermath of World War I, primarily from clubs in the territory which today is North Ayrshire that had participated in smaller leagues such as the ''Irvine & District'' competition. After only a few years of operation, the Western clubs became embroiled in the Intermediate dispute relating to compensation payments due to clubs joining Scottish Football League teams, and along with the larger and more powerful Glasgow Junior Football League, broke away from the SJFA and its flagship tournament, the Scottish Junior Cup in 1927 to form a rival Intermediate Association, although still playing in a separate division from the Glasgow clubs. The Scottish Junior Cup is an annual football competition organised by the Scottish Junior Football Association. Kyle McAusland
Kyle McAusland (born 19 January 1993) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a defender for club Cumnock Juniors. McAusland has previously played for Rangers, Dunfermline Athletic, whilst also having spent time on loan with Ayr United, Brechin City and Glenafton Athletic. Career McAusland, from Cumnock, East Ayrshire, joined Rangers aged thirteen in 2006. Brian McGinty
Brian McGinty (born 10 December 1976) is a Scottish former professional footballer. After beginning his career with Rangers in the Scottish Football League Premier Division he later played league football in both Scotland and England. Career Born in East Kilbride, McGinty came through the youth system at Rangers. He made his Premier Division debut in January 1995 against Partick Thistle but only made a further three appearances in as many seasons. Former Rangers striker Mark Hateley signed McGinty for Hull City in November 1997 and he played over fifty games for the club before leaving for Conference side Scarborough on a short-term deal in August 1999.
