Centrale Des Syndicats Du Québec
The Centrale des syndicats du Québec (CSQ; Quebec Labour Congress) is the third biggest trade union in Quebec, Canada, by membership. It was founded in 1946 when three earlier unions merged to form the ''Corporation générale des instituteurs et institutrices catholiques de la province de Québec'' (CIC; General Corporation of Catholic Teachers in the Province of Quebec). Léo Guindon was its first president. It changed its name in 1967 to ''Corporation des enseignants du Québec'' (Quebec teachers corporation), and then again in 1974 when it officially became a labour union to ''Centrale des enseignants du Québec'' (CEQ; Quebec teachers labour congress). It finally became the ''Centrale des syndicats du Québec'' in 2000 to acknowledge the fact that its membership base had expanded beyond teaching profession. The Conseil de la Souveraineté du Québec (CSQ) is a non-governmental organization promoting Quebec sovereignty in the Canadian province of Quebec. The council was started in 2003 at the initiative of the province's Parti Québécois government. It has been renamed to Organisations unies pour l'indépendance (OUI) in December 2014. An earlier organization of the same name existed in 1995 and played a prominent role in the 1995 Quebec referendum on sovereignty. 1995 organization The original council was established in May 1995, with former Parti Québécois cabinet minister Yves Duhaime as its first president and prominent Quebec nationalist Louise Laurin was its first vice-president. Conservatory String Quartet
The Conservatory String Quartet (CSQ) was a Canadian string quartet in residence at The Royal Conservatory of Music during the first half of the 20th century. The group actively performed in the Toronto area and regularly toured throughout the Province of Ontario. The quartet also notably toured to Montreal in 1942 and 1943. The ensemble performed not only the standard string quartet repertoire but also performed new works by contemporary Canadian composers like Patricia Blomfield Holt, Walter MacNutt, and John Weinzweig. The ensemble was also heard many times on CBC Radio but never produced any recordings. The CSQ was founded by violinist Elie Spivak in 1929 at the behest of the conservatory's president, Ernest MacMillan. Creston Municipal Airport is a city-owned public-use airport located three nautical miles (6  km) south of the central business district of Creston, a city in Union County, Iowa, United States. It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a ''general aviation'' facility. Facilities and aircraft Creston Municipal Airport covers an area of 360 acres (146 ha) at an elevation of 1,300 feet (396 m) above mean sea level. It has two runways: 16/34 is 4,901 by 75 feet (1,494 x 23 m) with an asphalt surface and 4/22 is 1,692 by 100 feet (516 x 30 m) with a turf surface. For the 12-month period ending September 16, 2010, the airport had 4,500 general aviation aircraft operations, an average of 12 per day.
