The Crusades were a series of religious wars sanctioned by the Latin Church in the medieval period. Crusading movement is about the ideology and institutions associated with crusading. Crusades
The Crusades were a series of religious wars initiated, supported, and sometimes directed by the Latin Church in the medieval period. The best known of these Crusades are those to the Holy Land in the period between 1095 and 1291 that were intended to recover Holy Land, Jerusalem and its surrounding area from Muslim conquests, Islamic rule. Beginning with the First Crusade, which resulted in the recovery of Jerusalem in 1099, dozens of Crusades were fought, providing a focal point of European history for centuries. In 1095, Pope Pope Urban II, Urban II proclaimed the First Crusade at the Council of Clermont. The Crusaders (formerly known as The Jazz Crusaders) were an American jazz group that was successful from the 1960s to the 1990s. The group was known as the Jazz Crusaders from their formation in 1960 until shortening their name in 1971. The Crusaders were comfortable playing a wide assortment of genres, from straight ahead jazz, to urban R&B, to R&B-based jazz, to even blues. The band reached a commercial apex in 1979 with their hit single " Street Life", featuring lead vocals by Randy Crawford, and their accompanying album of the same name. ''Battle Against Damnation'' is the second extended play by Japanese heavy metal band Lovebites (band), Lovebites. The EP was released in Japan on June 6, 2018 by Victor Entertainment, and in Europe and North America two days later by JPU Records. It reached number 20 on the Oricon chart and number 24 on ''Billboard Japan''. ''Constellations'' is the third studio album by American metalcore band August Burns Red. It was released on July 14, 2009, through Solid State Records and was produced by Jason Suecof. Composition Influences, style and themes The song "Indonesia", which features guest vocals from Tommy Giles Rogers of Between the Buried and Me, was made as a tribute to David Clapper, a missionary who died in a plane crash in Indonesia. Crusade Records is an independent record label based in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 2005, the label houses Australian and international bands in metal, hardcore and rock genres. The label has, in its existence, signed Through Closed Eyes, The Valley, The Mission In Motion, Freestate, and The Rabble. The label has also put out releases, under licence from respective labels, by Bring Me The Horizon, Deadsoil, Trivium, and Drop Dead, Gorgeous. In 2008, due to the closure of Modern Music, the label has been without distribution. The label is currently doing In-House Distribution. ''The Crusade'' is the sixth serial of the second season in the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. Written by David Whitaker and directed by Douglas Camfield, the serial was broadcast on BBC1 in four weekly parts from 27 March to 17 April 1965. Lawrence Rush "Rick" Atkinson IV (born November 15, 1952) is an American author, most recently of ''The British Are Coming: The War for America, Lexington to Princeton, 1775–1777'', the first volume in the Revolution Trilogy. David Mark Weber (born October 24, 1952) is an American science fiction and fantasy author. He has written several science-fiction and fantasy books series, the best known of which is the Honorverse, Honor Harrington science-fiction series. His debut novel, first novel, which he worked on with Steve White, sold in 1989 to Baen Books. Baen remains Weber's major publisher. Nancy Holder (born August 29, 1953) is an American writer and the author of several novels, including numerous tie-in books based on the TV series ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV series), Buffy the Vampire Slayer''. She's also written fiction related to several other science fiction and fantasy shows, including ''Angel (1999 TV series), Angel'' and ''Smallville (TV series), Smallville''.
