Chas Cronk is an English musician, best known as the bass player and acoustic guitarist for the Strawbs from 1973 to 1980 and again from 2004 to the present. Chas also toured and recorded with Steve Hackett and Rick Wakeman in the 1980s and Cry No More in the 1980/90s. He released a solo album, ''Liberty'', in March 2022 on Renaissance Records (USA). Cooper Cronk
Cooper Patrick Cronk (born 5 December 1983) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s. An n international and Queensland State of Origin representative , he played most of his club career for the Melbourne Storm, though finished his career with the Sydney Roosters, both in the National Rugby League. During his sixteen-year career, Cronk won four NRL Premierships (in 2012 and 2017 with Melbourne, and 2018 and 2019 with Sydney) from nine NRL Grand Final appearances. He won the Dally M Medal as the NRL's player of the year in 2013 and 2016, the Clive Churchill Medal as best player in the 2012 NRL Grand Final, the Golden Boot Award as international player of the year in 2016, and the NRL's Dally M Halfback of the Year on five occasions. Coy Cronk (born January 18, 1998) is an American football offensive tackle who is a free agent. He played college football for the Indiana Hoosiers and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He has previously played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Professional career Green Bay Packers Cronk signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent but was released before the start of the 2021 season. Jacksonville Jaguars Cronk was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars on October 22, 2021 He was waived during final roster cuts on August 30, 2022. Cronk didn't make his debut until the 2022 season in a Week 16 win against the New York Jets. He was also elevated to the active roster for the Jaguars playoff game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Hiram Cronk
Hiram Cronk (April 19, 1800 – May 13, 1905) was the last surviving veteran of the War of 1812 at the time of his death. He lived to the age of 105. Life and career Born in Frankfort, New York, Cronk enlisted with his father and two brothers on August 14, 1814. He served with the New York Volunteers in the defense of Sackett's Harbor and was discharged November 16, 1814. For his service, he received a pension of $12 per month. In 1903, the United States Congress increased it to $25 per month. He also received a special pension of $72 per month from the State of New York. Cronk spent most of his life working as a shoemaker. He married Mary Thornton in 1825, with whom he had seven children. At the time of his death, he had 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. (His great-granddaughter Jane lived to over 100 years of age, making the two "serial centenarians"). Cronk died in Ava, New York in May 1905 at the age of 105. Mary Cronk (1934 – 21 December 2018) was an independent midwife from Scotland who was awarded her MBE for services to midwifery over her many years of practice. Early life Cronk was born in Glasgow in 1932, the daughter of a Clydeside ship worker. She first studied nursing at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, and in 1957 started training to be a midwife at Queen Charlotte's in London. Career Cronk worked for the National Health Service in the UK where she facilitated more than 1600 births, mainly as home births. In 1991, she opened her own practice and started working as an independent midwife. Cronk joined the English National Board of the United Kingdom Central Council for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting, and served on the RCM Council between September 1999 and August 2003. William F. "Rick" Cronk (born October 4, 1942) is an American businessman who was co-owner and president of Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream. He is a former national president of the Boy Scouts of America and chairman of the World Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. Business After graduating from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in 1965, Cronk started his career with Eastman Dillon & Co. In 1972 he started a restaurant chain called "Vintage House" in the same vein as theme eatery pioneer Victoria Station. The chain struggled and in 1977 Cronk and T. The tiger (''Panthera tigris'') is the largest living cat species and a member of the genus ''Panthera''. It is most recognisable for its dark vertical stripes on orange fur with a white underside. An apex predator, it primarily preys on ungulates, such as deer and wild boar.
