Cro-Mags Members
Cro-Mags are an American hardcore punk band from New York City. The band, which has a strong cult following, has released six studio albums, with the first two considered the most influential. With a Hare Krishna background, they were among the first bands to fuse hardcore punk with thrash metal. Cro-Mags have gone through many line-up changes since the band's beginnings. Flanagan has been the sole trademark owner of the group's name since the early 1990s, the primary songwriter (a claim strongly denied by founding member Parris Mayhew in multiple recent interviews regarding the first three albums), and only member featured on every album, while Joseph and Jayson continued to tour with other musicians using the Cro-Mags name, against the wishes of Flanagan. In April 2019, Flanagan reached a settlement with Joseph and Mackie Jayson in which Flanagan would retain exclusive rights to the Cro-Mags name while Joseph and Jayson would move forward under the name, Cro-Mags "JM". Revenge (Cro-Mags Album)
''Revenge'' is the fifth studio album by New York hardcore band Cro-Mags. It was released in 2000 on their own label Cro-Mag Recordings and was the band's first studio album in seven years, as well as their first release with guitarist Rocky George (formerly of Suicidal Tendencies) and its first without vocalist John Joseph since 1989's '' Best Wishes''. As he did on ''Best Wishes'', bassist Harley Flanagan handled the vocals on this album. ''Revenge'' was also the Cro-Mags' last full-length studio album until the release of '' In the Beginning'' in 2020. Release and reception In an AllMusic review, Patrick Kennedy said "Appearing nearly a decade after the previous album, the largely disappointing Near Death Experience, Harley Flanagan resuscitated the Cro-Mags -- at least temporarily -- and issued a few albums in 2000. Revenge, a disc of studio material from the newest incarnation (also with original guitarist Parris Mayhew and Suicidal Tendencies' Rocky George), is surprisin ...

Alpha Omega (Cro-Mags Album)
''Alpha Omega'' (also referred to as ''Alpha-Omega'' or ''Alpha III Omega'') is the third album by the New York hardcore band Cro-Mags. It was released in 1992 on Century Media Records. In 2013, German record label Demons Run Amok Entertainment re-issued it on vinyl. The album features their former vocalist John Joseph who had been expelled from the band in 1987. According to founding guitarist and songwriter Parris Mayhew, he wrote most of ''Alpha Omega'' with former guitarist Rob Buckley. However, neither Mayhew or Buckley played on the actual recording, and the claim has been disputed by Flanagan and others. Release and reception In an AllMusic review, Vincent Jeffries said "This partial assemblage of the classic Cro-Mags lineup features bassist Harley Flanagan and singer John "Bloodclot" Joseph together again after years of separation. The two musicians had last joined forces on the band's seminal hardcore debut, ''The Age of Quarrel''. Doug Holland (guitars), Gabby (g ...

Best Wishes (Cro-Mags Album)
''Best Wishes'' is the second album by the New York hardcore band Cro-Mags. It was released on April 26, 1989 via Profile Records and was subsequently re-released via Another Planet – along with the band's debut album, ''The Age of Quarrel'', on the same disc. The album's cover reflected the band's interest in the Hare Krishna religion which started with previous singer John Joseph and then carried on through Harley Flanagan who also became a devotee. Their next album, ''Alpha Omega'', saw the return of John Joseph to the Cro-Mags fold, and an even further gravitation towards a metal sound. Overview After the short, sharp bursts of song encountered on their previous album, 1986's ''The Age of Quarrel'', this album saw a complete change of style as Cro-Mags entered the crossover thrash and thrash metal arena, complete with guitar solos. The songs also became longer – averaging around four minutes, whereas over half of ''Quarrel's'' songs came in under the two-minute mark. ...
