Cristina Parodi
Cristina Parodi (born 3 November 1964) is an Italian journalist and television host. Biography She debuted in the 80's in the small TV channels TelePiccolo and Telereporter and after in Odeon TV, hosting some sports shows like ''Caccia al 13'' and ''Forza Italia''. In 1990 moved to Fininvest joining the sports news editor, presenting ''Calciomania'' with Maurizio Mosca, and working as correspondent in ''Pressing''. From 1991, when started the Gulf War, she switched to the news entourage, and from autumn 1991 started presenting ''Canale 5 News'', the first Canale 5's news program. From January 1992 she became, with the director Enrico Mentana, Lamberto Sposini and Cesara Buonamici, one of the most important TG5's anchorwoman. In September 1996 has left TG5 and started presenting '' Verissimo'', a daily afternoon show aired by Canale 5 which talked about gossip and cases of crime. Alessandria
Alessandria (; pms, Lissandria ) is a city and ''comune'' in Piedmont, Italy, and the capital of the Province of Alessandria. The city is sited on the alluvial plain between the Tanaro and the Bormida rivers, about east of Turin. Alessandria is also a major railway hub. History Alessandria was founded in 1168 with a charter as a free comune; it was sited upon a preexisting urban nucleus, to serve as a stronghold for the Lombard League, defending the traditional liberties of the communes of northern Italy against the Imperial forces of Frederick Barbarossa. Alessandria stood in the territories of the marchese of Montferrat, a staunch ally of the Emperor, with a name assumed in 1168 to honour the Emperor's opponent, Pope Alexander III. Verissimo, initially titled ''Verissimo - Tutti i colori della cronaca'' is an Italian entertainment television news program covering events and celebrities which debuted on 1996 on Canale 5. It has been produced in collaboration with TG5 until 2006, when the program switched to Videonews. Alba Parietti
Alba Parietti (born 2 July 1961) is an Italian television presenter, television personality, showgirl, actress and former singer. Early life Parietti was born on 2 July 1961 in Turin, Piedmont, Italy, daughter of Francesco, a Piedmontese partisan originally from the Langhe then a chemist, whose nom de guerre was Naviga and Grazia Dipietromaria, painter and writer. She has been named after Alba where the partisans instaurated the Republic of Alba in 1944. She began her career in 1977 with an appearance in the theatrical play, ''The Importance of Being Earnest'', by Oscar Wilde. Although she did appear on television as early as 1975, her first role was in a major theatrical film in 1983 in ''Sapore di Mare'' (American version entitled ''Time for Loving''). Parietti has since performed in many films, including the 1991 comedy film ', as Aurora. Eugenio Ghiozzi (born 1 March 1955), best known by his stage name Gene Gnocchi, is an Italian television presenter, comedian and former footballer. Gnocchi was born in Fidenza into a working-class family. He was an aspiring vocalist in a rock band when he was younger, and also has a degree as a lawyer; however, both these different roads produced quite unsuccessful results. He took advice from the general public and took the road of a comedian. Gossip is idle talk or rumour, especially about the personal or private affairs of others; the act is also known as dishing or tattling. Gossip is a topic of research in evolutionary psychology, which has found gossip to be an important means for people to monitor cooperative reputations and so maintain widespread indirect reciprocity.
