Cristian Cálix
Cristian Neptalí Cálix Alvarado (born 9 September 1999) is a Honduran professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga Nacional club Olancho FC. Club career Marathón Born in Juticalpa, Olancho, Cálix is the youngest of five brothers. At the age of 13, he decided to try his luck and pursue a footballing career in San Pedro Sula, where he joined the youth setup of C.D. Marathón. On 29 April 2017, Cálix made his senior debut for Marathón in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras at the age of 17, coming off the bench in a 2–1 home victory over C.D.S. Vida in the Clausura tournament. The following season, Cálix appeared regularly for Marathón, and his first senior goal eventually came on 17 September 2017 in a 3–2 home win against C.D. Olimpia. Juticalpa, Olancho
Juticalpa () is the capital of Olancho Department in Honduras, with a population of 69,850 (2020 calculation), and the municipal seat of Juticalpa Municipality. Situated in a broad river valley alongside the Rio Juticalpa, the town is a commercial centre for much of Olancho's ranching and agricultural economy. Its Catedral de la Inmaculada Concepción, devoted to the immaculate Conception, is the cathedral episcopal see of the suffragan Roman Catholic Diocese of Juticalpa. 2019–20 Honduran Liga Nacional
The 2019–20 Honduran Liga Nacional season was the 54th Honduran Liga Nacional edition since its establishment in 1965. The tournament started in July 2019 and ended in March 2020. The season was divided into two halves (Apertura and Clausura), each crowning one champion. A new format will be used starting this season, each club plays the others twice (a double round-robin system), once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents', for 18 games. The first five teams will advance to the post-season (Pentagonal), where they will play each other once. If the same team wins both phases, they will be crowned champions automatically; otherwise, a final series will be scheduled between the winners of both phases. This format was last used in 1992–93. At the end of the season, the three teams with the best record will qualify to the 2020 CONCACAF League.
