Cristian Bucchi
Cristian Bucchi (born 30 May 1977) is an Italian football manager and former player who is the head coach of Serie B club Ascoli. A forward, he was best known for his goal-scoring ability in Serie B during the peak of his career. Club career Early career Bucchi started his career with the Serie D outfit Sambenedettese in 1995 as an 18-year-old. He made 28 appearances in his first proper season, although he scored no goals. The Serie D outfit released him at the end of the season, and he took the decision to drop down two divisions to the amateur regional leagues ( Promozione Marche). From 1996 to 1998, he enjoyed a fine couple of years where he collecting a brilliant 52 goals in 58 games for Settempeda. The club also promoted to 1997–98 Eccellenza Marche. The Promozione (, "promotion") is the sixth level in the Italian football league system. Each individual league winner within the Promozione level progresses to their closest regional league in the Eccellenza level. Depending on each league's local rules, a number of teams each year are relegated from each league, to the 7th level of Italian football, the Prima Categoria. This level of Italian football is completely amateur and is run on a regional level. Luigi Beghetto (born 6 July 1973 in Bassano del Grappa, Province of Vicenza) is an Italian footballer who played as a striker. Career Beghetto started his career with hometown club Bassano, then in Serie D. He was then signed by Vicenza in July 1994, but was sold to Serie C1's Carpi on October without making a single appearance for his previous club. He then went on to play on several Serie B and Serie C1 teams, most notably Treviso (from 1998 and 2000) and Cagliari in 2000–01. The 2001–02 Serie A (known as the Serie A TIM for sponsorship reasons) was the 100th season of top-tier Italian football, the 70th in a round-robin tournament. It was composed by 18 teams, for the 14th consecutive time from season 1988–89. The first two teams qualified directly to the UEFA Champions League, teams ending in the third and fourth places had to play Champions League qualifications, teams ending in the fifth and sixth places qualified for the UEFA Cup (another spot was given to the winner of Coppa Italia), while the last four teams were to be relegated to Serie B. However, Fiorentina's subsequent bankruptcy led to them being placed in the fourth tier of Italian football.
