Cricket Ireland Academy
The Shapoorji Pallonji National Academy or National Cricket Academy is a cricket academy and training centre based at the Malahide Cricket Club Ground in Malahide, Dublin, Ireland. The centre was sponsored by the Shapoorji Pallonji Group. The NCA was officially opened in 2013 with 10 years deal with Indian business conglomerate Shapoorji Pallonji Group which is owned by the Pallonji Mistry family who Irish citizens to promote cricket in Ireland. It was designed to be a finishing school for leading young male and female players who are identified as having the potential to represent the Ireland cricket team. The initial intake comprised 22 Irish players from the ages of 15. Malahide Cricket Club Ground
Malahide Cricket Club Ground or The Village is a cricket ground in Malahide, Ireland situated in the Lady Acre field of Malahide Castle grounds. The ground is owned by the Malahide Cricket Club. The ground has been developed to a capacity of 11,500 making it Ireland's biggest cricket venue and officially opened for international cricket in 2013. In November 2017, it was confirmed as the venue for Ireland's first Test match, when they played Pakistan in May 2018. History Malahide Cricket Club was founded in 1861. The 5th Baron Talbot of Malahide, Richard Wogan Talbot, was fond of cricket and established a cricket ground in the grounds of Malahide Castle. It would be over a century later when major cricket would first be played at Malahide, with the ground hosting a first-class match between Ireland and Scotland in 1991. David Colin Alex Delany (born 28 December 1997) is an Irish cricketer. He made his Twenty20 cricket debut for Munster Reds in the 2017 Inter-Provincial Trophy on 16 June 2017. Lorcan John Tucker (born 10 September 1996) is an Irish cricketer and wicket-keeper batter. He was part of Ireland's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and made his international debut for the Ireland cricket team in September 2016. He currently plays for MI Emirates in the ILT20. Joshua Brian Little (born 1 November 1999) is an Irish cricketer. He made his international debut for the Ireland cricket team in September 2016.
