Creswick Football Club
The Creswick Football Netball Club is an Australian rules football and netball club that plays in the Central Highlands Football League and is based in the town of Creswick, Victoria. History The Creswick Football Club was founded in 1869 and its first recorded game was July 24 that same year against Kingston, with the result being a 0-0 draw. The club played in 1876 against Clunes and Daylesford, winning both games 1 goal to 0. Between 1869 and 1914, the name of the league where the Wickers played changed almost yearly but the league was often known as the 'Challenge Cup'. There was no football between 1870 and 1875 due to floods. The Creswick District Football Association was founded in 1914, with Creswick joined by clubs from Dean, Smeaton, Newlyn and Allendale & Broomfield. Creswick won the premiership from Newlyn, and repeated the dose in 1915. North Melbourne Football Club
The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. The men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), and the women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW). The Kangaroos also field a reserves men's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Founded in the suburb of North Melbourne in 1869 and based at the Arden Street Oval, it is the 4th oldest club in the competition and one of the oldest surviving clubs in the world. Matthew Capuano
Mathew Capuano (born 2 September 1975) is a former Australian rules footballer who spent his AFL career with the North Melbourne Football Club and the St Kilda Football Club. Post playing career Capuano was a development coach at the Carlton Football Club. He was famously sacked by St. Kilda during the 2003 season. Kangaroos career Capuano made his AFL debut for North Melbourne in the 1994 season; He played a total of 82 games for the Kangaroos, and was a member of the club's 1996 and 1999 premiership side. Rod Gladman
Rodney "Rod" Gladman (born 19 February 1968) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Gladman spent most of his career with East Ballarat in the Ballarat Football League (BFL), but made one VFL appearance for St Kilda in the 1987 season, their round 14 loss to Geelong at Kardinia Park. He was picked up in the 1990 Pre-Season Draft by Collingwood, where he played only in the reserves. Fitzroy Football Club
The Fitzroy Football Club is an Australian rules football club currently competing in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA). Formed in 1883 to represent the inner-Melbourne municipality of Fitzroy, the club was a member of the Victorian Football Association (VFA), before becoming a foundation member of the breakaway Victorian Football League (VFL/AFL) in 1897. Fitzroy won a total of eight VFL premierships, of which seven (1898, 1899, 1904, 1905, 1913, 1916 and 1922) were won whilst they were nicknamed the Maroons and one (1944) as the Gorillas. The decision of the club to change its nickname to the Lions in 1957 coincided with what history now records as the beginning of decades of poor on-field performance and financial losses that eventually resulted in the club being placed into administration, ultimately leaving the AFL at the end of the 1996 season.
