Crescent Corridor
The Crescent Corridor is a railroad corridor operated by the Norfolk Southern Railway (NS). The project, first proposed in 2007, and scheduled for completion by 2020, spans 13 states from New York (state), New York to Louisiana. It is a private-public partnership between Norfolk Southern and the various state and federal governments. Project overview Norfolk Southern plans that the project will expand its entire network from the Northeastern United States, Northeast to the Southeastern United States, Southeast regions. It is expected that the majority of cargo along the corridor would be Intermodal freight transport, intermodal. The Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) Program is a $4.6 billion program to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of freight, commuter and intercity passenger rail and to reduce highway delay in the Chicago region. Croxton is a section of Jersey City in the New Jersey Meadowlands in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. Greencastle is a borough in Franklin County in south-central Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 3,996 at the 2010 census. Greencastle lies within the Cumberland Valley of Pennsylvania.
