Crashdïet (often stylised as CRASHDÏET) is a Swedish sleaze rock/glam metal band formed in Stockholm in 2000. The group consists of Martin Sweet, Peter London, Michael Sweet and John Elliot. They have released six albums: 2005's '' Rest in Sleaze'', 2007's '' The Unattractive Revolution'', 2010's ''Generation Wild'', 2013's '' The Savage Playground'', 2019's ''Rust'', and 2022's ''Automaton''. History 2000–2005: Formation and early years The band was originally formed in 2000 and built up a cult following with the release of their first demos, several of which were released on their official website via download. However, in late 2002, the band split up, with former members joining Repugnant and SubVision. Vocalist Dave Lepard then reformed the band with members from the current lineup, guitar player Martin Sweet and bassist Peter London were announced on the band's website on Christmas Day along with a call for drummers. Generation Wild
''Generation Wild'' is the third studio album by Swedish glam metal band Crashdïet. The album was released on 14 April 2010. It is the first album to feature the band's new vocalist Simon Cruz since the departure of their previous singer H. Olliver Twisted. The album debuted at #3 on the Swedish Album Chart. The title track, ''Generation Wild'', was released as the first single on 28 February 2010. The video was banned from MTV due to obscene images. The original record features 11 songs but five bonus track were also recorded and released on different editions of the album. On 7 June 2011, ''Generation'' Wild was released in the United States through Frontiers Records. Ozzy Osbourne
John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is an English singer, songwriter, and media personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead singer of the heavy metal music, heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which period he adopted the nickname "Prince of Darkness". Hardcore Superstar is a Swedish Rock music, rock band from Gothenburg, formed in 1997. They have released eleven studio albums. History The first ten years (1997–2007) 1997–2004 Hardcore Superstar was formed in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1997 by Joakim Berggren and Martin Sandvik. Their previous band Link had been grunge-inspired but with their new band they wanted to pull more towards rock 'n' roll. They kept the drummer from Link, Mika Vainio, Mika Vaino (with the moniker DynaMike), and as lead guitarist they recruited Thomas Silver who had previously been in the band Glamoury Foxx with Jocke and had recently quit the band Green Jesus Saviours. "In the Raw" is a 2007 single by Swedish glam metal band Crashdïet. It was the first single to feature the band's new lead singer H. Olliver Twisted on vocals, since their original singer Dave Lepard died in January 2006. This song appears as the opening track on the band's 2007 album, The Unattractive Revolution. The song debuted at #35 on the Swedish singles chart. The song's name and chorus is based on the album '' Live... in the Raw'' by the heavy metal band W.A.S.P which have been a major influence on the sound of Crashdïet. ''Rest in Sleaze'' is the debut album by Swedish rock band Crashdïet. The album was produced by Platform (Chris Laney and Anders Ringman) and Grizzly/Tysper (Gustav Jonsson and Tommy Tysper). The album debuted at #12 on the Swedish album chart. The band released four singles from the album; " Riot in Everyone", "Knokk 'Em Down", "Breakin' the Chainz", and "It's a Miracle". It is the first and only album that features late singer Dave Lepard, who committed suicide in 2006.
