Craig Miller (CEO)
Craig Miller is a former CEO of Ruth's Chris Steak House. He ran an unsuccessful campaign as a 2010 candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives. He also was a candidate in the 2012 U.S. Senate elections to be a senator representing Florida. On January 12, 2012, Miller's candidacy was endorsed by Herman Cain. During this time, Miller also endorsed Cain's 9–9–9 Plan. Education Miller graduated from Rockledge High School in 1967. He holds a business degree from the University of Central Florida. Career Miller served in the Air Force as a pilot. In 1984, Miller joined Pizzeria Uno and became president of the company in 1986. In 1996, Miller became CEO of Uno Restaurant Corp. Ruth's Chris Steak House is a chain of over 100 steakhouses across the United States, Canada and Mexico. On May 22, 2008, the company underwent rebranding and became part of Ruth's Hospitality Group after its acquisition of Mitchell's Fish Market. The group's headquarters are in Winter Park, Florida. History The original Chris Steak House (1927–1965) Chris Steak House was founded on February 27, 1927 by New Orleans entrepreneur Chris Matulich. It was located at 1100 North Broad Street near the Fair Grounds Race Course, seated 60 people, and had no parking lot. During Matulich's 38-year management, the business was sold six times, failing each time, and enabling him to buy the restaurant back cheaply from the purchasers. The 2010 United States House of Representatives Elections in Florida were held on November 2, 2010 to determine who would represent the state of Florida in the United States House of Representatives. Representatives are elected for two-year terms; those elected served in the 112th Congress from January 2011 until January 2013. Florida had twenty-five seats in the House, apportioned according to the 2000 United States Census, but would soon gain two more congressional seats in 2012. A large majority of the incumbents sought re-election on November 2, and only the 12th district and the 17th district were open races. Upon the resignation of Robert Wexler, a special election was held in April to determine the new representative of 19th district. The 2012 United States Senate election in Florida was held on November 6, 2012, alongside a presidential election, other elections to the House and Senate, as well as various state and local elections. Herman Cain
Herman Cain (December 13, 1945July 30, 2020) was an American businessman and Tea Party movement activist within the Republican Party. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Cain grew up in Georgia and graduated from Morehouse College with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. He then earned a master's degree in computer science at Purdue University while also working full-time for the U.S. Department of the Navy. In 1977, he joined the Pillsbury Company where he later became vice president. The 9–9–9 Plan was a tax proposal that was a centerpiece of Herman Cain's 2012 campaign for the Republican Party's nomination for president of the United States. It was introduced in August 2011. Clarence William Nelson II (born September 29, 1942) is an American politician and attorney serving as the administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
