Craig Breen
Craig Breen (born 2 February 1990) is an Irish rally driver, who competes part time in the Hyundai team in the WRC (World Rally Championship). He was the 2012 WRC Super 2000 world rally champion, scoring class wins in the Monte Carlo Rally, Wales Rally GB, Rally France and the Rally of Spain. Breen was also the WRC Academy champion in 2011, winning his first event at the 2011 Rallye Deutschland and sealing the championship with a win at Wales Rally GB. The Academy title going down to the last stage, with Breen and Estonian rally driver Egon Kaur ending the season, both on 111 points, Breen then won the title on count back of stage wins, 39 to 14. Breen recently won the Rentokil Historic Rally in Killarney, Kerry, Ireland in his BMW M3 E30. Career Craig is the son of Ray Breen, a national champion in Irish rallying. 2011 Rallye Deutschland
The 2011 Rallye Deutschland was the ninth round of the 2011 World Rally Championship season. The rally took place over 19–21 August, and was based in Trier, in the Rhineland-Palatinate state of Germany. The rally was also the sixth round of the Super 2000 World Rally Championship, and the fourth round of the WRC Academy. Sébastien Ogier won his first tarmac rally, and became the first driver other than his team-mate Sébastien Loeb to win the rally since it became a world championship event in 2002. Ogier benefitted from a puncture suffered by Loeb on the last stage of Saturday's running, and eventually won by just under 40 seconds from Loeb. This also resulted in some controversial remarks by Sébastien Ogier claiming there is "justice in the sport" referencing his prior displeasure with his team's decision to have Ogier hold off while teammate Sébastien Loeb held the lead. WRC Academy
The FIA Junior WRC, also known as JWRC and previously known as Junior World Rally Championship, is an international rallying competition restricted to drivers under 29 years old. The championship currently consists of five select rallies of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar. The category has been a stepping stone in the careers of WRC Champion Sébastien Ogier, Dani Sordo, Elfyn Evans and Thierry Neuville. Junior WRC differs from the WRC support championships, WRC2 and WRC3, as the competition is managed and promoted by M-Sport Poland under contract to the FIA. All cars are identical, provided and serviced by M-Sport on the entrants' behalf. The car used in 2022 was a Ford Fiesta Rally3. Championship titles are awarded to the winning Driver and Co-Driver. The 2010 Wales Rally GB, was the thirteenth and final round of the 2010 World Rally Championship (WRC) season. The twenty stage gravel rally took place over 11–14 November 2010 and was based in the Welsh capital of Cardiff. The 2010 Neste Oil Rally Finland was the 60th Rally Finland and the eighth round of the 2010 World Rally Championship season. The rally took place over July 29–31, and is based in Jyväskylä, the capital of the Central Finland region. Irish Tarmac Rally Championship
The Irish Tarmac Rally Championship (ITRC) is the premier rallying series in Ireland. It is held annually and is promoted by the Tarmac Rally Organisers’ Association (TROA). The Championship takes place over seven events, based in the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland, using Special stage (rallying), special stages, which are run against the clock, on closed public tarmac roads. The overall Championship title is contested by drivers and co-drivers using cars Homologation (motorsport), homologated in Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA classes RC2 (R5 (rallying), R5/ Rally2), Group R, RC3, RC4, RC5 and RG-T. British Rally Championship
The British Rally Championship is a rallying series based in the United Kingdom. The first championship was run in 1958 and it has been licensed by the Motor Sports Association (MSA) since 1999. MSA has opted not to run the series in 2015, instead giving its promotion to its own subsidiary (IMS) for 2016. The Ford Fiesta S2000 is a Super 2000 rally car built by M-Sport. It is based upon the Ford Fiesta road car. It made its racing debut at the 78th Rallye Monte Carlo in 2010, with factory team M-Sport and drivers Mikko Hirvonen and Julien Maurin. Hirvonen won the rally.
