Coy is a town in southern Lonoke County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 96 at the 2010 census, making it the smallest incorporated community within the Little Rock–North Little Rock– Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area, as well as one of the smallest in the state. Geography Coy is located in southern Lonoke County at (34.541882, -91.869736). U.S. Route 165 passes through the northern side of the town, leading east to Humnoke and west to England. Arkansas Highway 31 passes through the center of Coy, leading north to Lonoke, the county seat, and south to Sherrill. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town of Coy has a total area of , all land. Coy Burn is a stream that rises in the hills north of Banchory in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Coy Burn discharges to the River Dee at Milton of Crathes. Coy is a town within the municipality of Lorca, in the Spanish province of Murcia. It has a population of 511 and is located 22 miles north of Lorca. Previously known for their supply of metals, they are now known for their wine and traditional crafts. Location The town is located in the slope of the Peak of Coy, mainly in the south of the "Saw of the Lavia", along the mouth of a south-west water spring. At its basin begins a plateau (Plateau of Coy) with boulevards that remain dry the whole year. From this forms the mouth of the Turrilla River (tributary of the Guadalentin). Climate The plateau of Coy has similar climates to those found in the Mediterranean Sea with cold winters, some years developing snow. The Coy Cup is awarded to the Senior AA ice hockey champions of British Columbia. Teams from the Yukon have also competed. History The trophy was donated to the British Columbia Amateur Hockey Association by Colonel Coy of the 50th Gordon Highlanders (now the 16th Scottish) of Victoria, British Columbia. The Coy Cup was first awarded to the Enderby Hockey Club in the 1922-23 season. The Coy Cup is the Senior AA championship of British Columbia, formerly known as Senior B until 1983. Coy Site
The Coy Site ( 3 LN 20) is an archaeological site located next to Indian-Bakers Bayou in Lonoke County, Arkansas. It was inhabited by peoples of the Plum Bayou culture (650—1050 CE), in a time known as the Late Woodland period. The site was occupied between 700 and 1000 CE. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. Description The site once consisted of four mounds, several flat-topped platform mounds and at least one burial mounds and extensive midden areas. The site was excavated by Edward Palmer in 1883. He described the largest two platform mounds as being in height and . He also noted a burial mound and a low mound of undetermined function. Only the largest platform mound survives to the present day. This mound was tested in 1988 and 1994, and returned dates between 730 and 1010 CE.
