Courtney Lindsey
Courtney Lindsey (born 18 November 1998) is an American track and field athlete who competes as a sprinter. Early life Born and raised in Rock Island, Illinois, he attended Rock Island High School. He used to train at a boxing in the Quad Cities operated by his step father. Lindsey began his collegiate career at Iowa Central Community College. In July 2019, he signed a letter of intent to transfer to Texas Tech University. Career In June 2023, competing for Texas Tech University, he ran a new personal best time of 10.02 in the heats of the NCAA Outdoor Championship in the 100m event in Austin, Texas. He then triumphed in the final, running a new personal best time of 9.89 seconds. Although, his 4x100m relay team was disqualified at the same event, he ran another new personal best of 19.86s to finish runner-up in the 200m race. Track and field is a sport that includes athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. The name is derived from where the sport takes place, a running track and a grass field for the throwing and some of the jumping events. Christian Coleman (born March 6, 1996) is an American professional track and field sprinter who competes in the 100 meters and 200 meters. He is the former world champion in the 100 meters. He was a double gold medallist at the World Championships in Athletics in 2019, winning gold medals in both the 100 m and 4 × 100-meter relay. He holds personal records of 9.76 seconds for the 100 m, which made him the 6th fastest all-time in the history of 100 metres event, and 19.85 for the 200 m. Coleman is the world indoor record holder for the 60 meters with 6.34 seconds. He was IAAF Diamond League champion in 2018 and the world number one ranked runner in the 100 m for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Joseph Fahnbulleh (born 11 September 2001) is a Liberian-American sprinter. An Olympic finalist, Fahnbulleh is a double NCAA champion and finished fourth at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in the 200 meters race. Early and personal life Born in Hopkins, Minnesota, to Liberian parents, Fahnbulleh attended Hopkins High School. The men's 200 metres at the 2023 World Athletics Championships was held at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest from 23 to 25 August 2023. Summary As the carts were bringing the semi finalists to the track from the warm up area, one cart T-boned the other. Andrew Hudson received minor injuries with broken glass getting into his eye. The first semi was moved to last in the order to give Hudson and the other athletes a chance to recover. A relaxed defending champion Noah Lyles came through as the #1 qualifier. The Diamond League is an annual series of elite track and field athletic competitions comprising fourteen of the best invitational athletics meetings. The series sits in the top tier of the World Athletics (formerly known as the IAAF) one-day meeting competitions. The inaugural season was in 2010. It was designed to replace the IAAF Golden League, which had been held annually since 1998.
