Courcey Rovers GAA
Courcey Rovers is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the villages of Ballinspittle and Ballinadee in County Cork, Ireland. The club fields both hurling, Gaelic football and camogie teams. It has historically concentrated on hurling. The club is part of the Carrigdhoun division of Cork competitions. It used to be part of Carbery GAA but moved in the mid-1970s to Carrigdhoun GAA as it felt that it would be offered a higher chance to be able to win county championships, as there are more hurling clubs in the south east division. The pitch is named after hurling legend Jim O'Regan. Cloughduv GAA
Cloughduv GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association based in the village of Cloughduv in County Cork, Ireland. The club is a member of the Muskerry division of Cork GAA. The club fields hurling team only. There are two Gaelic football clubs in the parish (Kilmurry parish) - Canovee and Kilmurry - and there is often an overlap of players between the different clubs. History Hurling in the area pre-dates the founding of the Gaelic Athletic Association in Thurles in 1884; when the Cork County Board was inaugurated in 1886, 21 clubs attended including Ryecourt GAA represented by Michael J Keane. Shortly thereafter the name was changed to Cloch Dubh. Success was not long in arriving, culminating in 1912 in a great victory in the County Senior Beamish Shield. Cork Premier Under-21 A Hurling Championship (currently known for sponsorship reasons as the ''Evening Echo'' Cork County Premier Under-21 A Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Cork County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1973 for the top tier under-21 hurling teams in the county of Cork in Ireland. The series of games are played from the summer to the winter months with the county final currently being played at Páirc Uí Rinn. The prize for the winning team is the Dick Barrett Cup. The championship uses a double elimination format whereby each team is guaranteed at least two games. 22 clubs currently participate in the Premier Under-21 Championship. The 2018 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 15th staging of the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 2004. The draw for the opening round took place on 10 December 2017. The championship began on 15 April 2018 and ended on 29 October 2018. On 29 October 2018, Charleville won the championship after a 0-15 to 0-14 defeat of Courcey Rovers in a final replay at Páirc Uí Rinn. It was their first ever championship title in this grade. The 2008 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship was the fifth staging of the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 2004. The championship began on 3 May 2008 and ended on 19 October 2008. On 20 July 2008, Aghada were relegated from the championship following a 1-17 to 2-7 defeat by Argideen Rangers. The 2004 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship was the inaugural staging of the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board. The 2021 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 18th staging of the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 2004. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 29 April 2021. The championship began on 11 September 2021 and ended on 27 November 2021. The final was played on 27 November 2021 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, between Courcey Rovers and Castlelyons, in what was their first ever meeting in a final.
