County Route 89 (Marshall County, West Virginia)
West Virginia Route 891 is a long east–west state highway located in Marshall County, West Virginia. The western terminus of the route is at U.S. Route 250 roughly three miles north of Cameron. The eastern terminus is at the Pennsylvania state line, where WV 891 continues east as Pennsylvania Route 21. Route description WV 891 begins at an intersection with US 250 north of Cameron and heads east. The very curvy route mainly serves as a connector to Pennsylvania Route 21, as the highway intersects no other state highways and doesn't run through any communities. Marshall County is a county in the U.S. state of West Virginia. At the 2020 census, the population was 30,591. Its county seat is Moundsville. With its southern border at what would be a continuation of the Mason-Dixon line to the Ohio River, it forms the base of the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. Marshall County is part of the Wheeling, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. Marshall County is home to the largest conical burial mound in North America, at Moundsville. Marshall County was formed in 1835 from Ohio County by act of the Virginia Assembly. Pennsylvania Route 21 (PA 21) is a long east–west state highway in the US state of Pennsylvania. The western terminus of the route is at the West Virginia state line in Richhill Township, where PA 21 continues into West Virginia as West Virginia Route 891. The eastern terminus is at U.S. Route 40 Business in Uniontown. The route is known as the Roy E. Furman Highway for most of its length. PA 21 serves Waynesburg and Masontown along the way. PA 21 was originally designated in 1927 between the West Virginia border and Uniontown, originally following an alignment further to the north between Carmichaels and Uniontown via New Salem. West Virginia Route 2 is a state highway in the US state of West Virginia. It generally parallels the Ohio River along the western border of the state, from U.S. Route 60 in Huntington (just west of the East End Bridge) northeasterly to U.S. Route 30 in Chester (just south of the Jennings Randolph Memorial Bridge). WV 2 leaves the shores of the Ohio River in two places: between Point Pleasant and Mount Alto (where West Virginia Route 62 follows the river) and between Ravenswood and Waverly (where West Virginia Route 68 mostly follows the river). Proctor (also referred to as Austinville or Proctors) is an unincorporated community in northwestern Wetzel County, West Virginia, United States. It lies on West Virginia Route 2 along the Ohio River, north of the city of New Martinsville, the county seat of Wetzel County. Its elevation is 630 feet (192 m). Because the community has borne multiple names, the Board on Geographic Names officially designated it "Proctor" in 1980. It has a post office with the ZIP code 26055.
