Robert Lawrence Coughlin Jr. (April 11, 1929 – November 30, 2001) was an American lawyer and politician from Pennsylvania who served as a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives representing the 13th district of Pennsylvania from 1969 to 1993. Coughlin Campanile
The Coughlin Campanile was completed on the campus of South Dakota State University (SDSU) in 1929. It was designed by architects Perkins & McWayne. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. Per its National Register nomination, it "is considered by many as the most outstanding chimes tower in South Dakota. As the tallest campanile in the state, the structure is an important landmark for the campus of South Dakota State University and to the city of Brookings." With . At a cost of $75,000, it was a gift to the University from Charles Coughlin, a graduate from the class of 1909. The Campanile is a chimes tower that rises to 165 feet with 180 steps to the top observation platform open to the public, and is located on Medary Avenue. Thomas Richard Coughlin ( ; born August 31, 1946) is a former American football coach and executive. He was the head coach for the New York Giants from 2004 to 2015. He led the Giants to victory in Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLVI, both times against the New England Patriots. Russell James Coughlin (15 February 1960 – 3 August 2016) was a Welsh professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Coughlin began his professional career with Manchester City in 1977, but after failing to break into the first team at Maine Road, he joined Blackburn Rovers the following year. At Ewood Park, he made 24 league appearances in two years. In 1980, Coughlin moved north to join Carlisle United. He went on to make 130 league appearances for the Cumbrians, scoring thirteen goals. Four years later, in 1984, Coughlin moved to England's south coast to sign for Plymouth Argyle. There, he broke the 130-league-game mark again, scoring eighteen goals in the process.
