José Adrián Bonilla
José Adrián Bonilla Bonilla (born April 28, 1978, in Paraíso, Costa Rica) is a Costa Rican former professional road bicycle racer. He competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics and the 2004 Summer Olympics. He debuted professionally in 2004 with the team Comunidad Valenciana. In 2006, during the Operación Puerto doping case, he was identified as the client of a doping traffic network led by Eufemiano Fuentes, under the code name ''Bonilla Alfredo''. Bonilla was not sanctioned by the Spanish government since doping was not a crime at the time. He did not receive any other sanction either since the judge assigned to the case refused to share the case's evidence with the World Anti-Doping Agency or the Union Cycliste Internationale. Spanish court 31 later cleared him and all the other members of Comunidad Valenciana of any involvement in the case. Triathlon made its official debut at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. This sporting event was held at the Sydney Opera House. Forty-eight triathletes contested the female event on September 16, while fifty-two contested the male event on September 17, making up a total of 100 competitors. Each competitor starts the event with a 1500-metre swim course, followed by a 40 kilometre road bicycle race and finish with a 10 kilometre road run. Each consecutive event in triathlon runs in sequence, without any respite, so that the athlete who crossed the line in first place at the end of the run would be the winner. Juan Antonio Marín Casero (born 2 March 1975) is a former professional male tennis player from Costa Rica. He originally played on tour under the Spanish flag, as he was born to a father from Murcia and a mother from Asturias, and lived in Spain since the age of 14. Tennis was one of the 28 sports that was held at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. The competition which was held from the 19-28th September at the NSW Tennis Centre, saw four gold medals being contested with them being in the singles and doubles of both genders. The format at the 2000 Olympics was a single-elimination tournament with the men's and women's singles being 64 players. They competed in six rounds of competition in the singles and five rounds in the doubles (sizes of 32). The format consisted of three set matches with five set matches being only played in the men's singles and doubles final. The United States finished on top of the medal table with two gold medals as Venus Williams won both the women's singles and doubles with Serena Williams. Juan José Madrigal Pacheco (born March 8, 1974) is a Costa Rican former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. He is a two-time Olympian (1996 and 2000), and a Costa Rican former record holder in the 50-, 100-, and 200-m breaststroke (long course and short course).
