Cosmos Music
Cosmos Music, formerly Bonnier Amigo Music Group (BAMG), is an independent record company based in Stockholm, Sweden. Bonnier Amigo Music Group was formed in 2001 when the record company and distributor Amigo Musik merged with the record company Bonnier Music. BAMG claims to be the biggest independent record company in Scandinavia. BAMG does not exist as it has been changed to Cosmos Music as a Management Buyout in late 2009. BAMG signed acts including Helena Paparizou, Sunrise Avenue, Madcon, Amy Diamond and Sofia Karlsson. BAMG was the Scandinavian representative of some of the most influential independent record companies in Europe, including ACT, Dramatico, Cooking Vinyl, Cooperative Music, Epitaph, Roadrunner Records and MNW. In late 2009, Carl Fredik Ekander, Cai Leitner, Kent Isaacs and Christian Drougge bought Bonnier Amigo from Bonnier Group and subsequently renamed the company Cosmos Music. Kent Isaacs, a Swedish producer, mixer, musician, songwriter and music-entrepreneur, is co-owner and operator of Cosmos Music, an independent Scandinavian music company. Isaacs has been known to work with Robyn, RZA, Slick Rick, Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Clay Aiken, Eagle Eye Cherry, Infinite Mass, Arnthor and Stina Nordenstam (showcased on the hit 1996 soundtrack to ''Romeo + Juliet''). A music industry veteran, Isaacs has been in the business since the early 1980s. He began his career as a musician both in the studio and touring with Swedish artists. MNW Music
MNW Music AB is a Swedish record company and was founded in 1969 in Vaxholm as Music Network Corps AB by Sverre Sundman, Lorne deWolfe and Lynn deWolfe. It is now located in Stockholm. History After a financial crisis in the spring of 1971, the company was rescued by Tore Berger, from the group Gunder Hägg (later Blå Tåget), investing his own money and the company was transformed into Musiknätet Waxholm. Roadrunner Records is an American record label focused on heavy metal and hard rock bands. Founded in the Netherlands in 1980, it is now a division of Warner Music Group and is based in New York City. History The label was launched in 1980 in the Netherlands. ACT is a German record label founded in 1992 by Siegfried Loch. It is a division of ACT + Music Video founded by Loch and Annette Humpe in 1988. ACT started as a pop music label but folded soon after it started. Loch turned it into a jazz label, at first reissuing music he had recorded for Liberty, Philips, and WEA before turning to new recordings.
