Cory Greenwood
Cory James Greenwood (born June 5, 1985) is a professional Canadian football linebacker for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a Grey Cup champion having won the 106th Grey Cup with the Stampeders. He played college football for the Concordia Stingers from 2006 to 2009. Early life Greenwood was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario, where he attended Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School. He later attended Concordia University, where he played college football for the Concordia Stingers from 2006 to 2009. In his senior year, he was the recipient of the Presidents' Trophy for best defensive player in Canadian Interuniversity Sport football. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. Presidents' Trophy (U Sports)
The Presidents' Trophy is an annual Canadian sports award presented to the most outstanding defensive player in U Sports football. Anterior Cruciate Ligament
The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of a pair of cruciate ligaments (the other being the posterior cruciate ligament) in the human knee. The two ligaments are also called "cruciform" ligaments, as they are arranged in a crossed formation. In the quadruped stifle joint (analogous to the knee), based on its anatomical position, it is also referred to as the cranial cruciate ligament. The term cruciate translates to cross. The 2016 CFL season was the 63rd season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it was the 59th Canadian Football League season. Toronto hosted the 104th Grey Cup on November 27. The regular season began on June 23 and ended on November 5. 2014 Toronto Argonauts Season
The 2014 Toronto Argonauts season was their 57th season in the Canadian Football League and their 142nd season overall. The Argonauts finished in third place in the East Division but missed out on a playoff spot due to the crossover rule. The 9–9 BC Lions, fourth place in the West Division, had a better record and therefore eliminated the Argos from the playoffs. Entering the final game of the season at 7–10 against the Ottawa Redblacks, the Argos needed to win to keep their playoff hopes alive, which they did. They also needed Hamilton to lose to Montreal for the Argos to finish second and make the playoffs ahead of the crossover team, the BC Lions. The BC Lions are a professional Canadian football team based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Jamie Boreham (born March 29, 1978 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a former professional Canadian football punter and placekicker and is the head coach of the Prince George Kodiaks of the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL). Punter (football)
A punter (P) in gridiron football is a special teams player who receives the snapped ball directly from the line of scrimmage and then punts (kicks) the football to the opposing team so as to limit any field position advantage. This generally happens on a fourth down in American football and a third down in Canadian football. Punters may also occasionally take part in fake punts in those same situations, when they throw or run the football instead of punting. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a professional Canadian football team based in Regina, Saskatchewan.
