2014 Toronto Argonauts Season
The 2014 Toronto Argonauts season was their 57th season in the Canadian Football League and their 142nd season overall. The Argonauts finished in third place in the East Division but missed out on a playoff spot due to the crossover rule. The 9–9 BC Lions, fourth place in the West Division, had a better record and therefore eliminated the Argos from the playoffs. Entering the final game of the season at 7–10 against the Ottawa Redblacks, the Argos needed to win to keep their playoff hopes alive, which they did. They also needed Hamilton to lose to Montreal for the Argos to finish second and make the playoffs ahead of the crossover team, the BC Lions. East Division (CFL)
The East Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League, its counterpart being the West Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the East Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The four teams in the division are the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes, and Ottawa Redblacks. The Manitoba Bisons are the athletic teams that represent the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The football team plays their games at Investors Group Field. The Saint Mary's Huskies are the men's and women's athletic teams that represent Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Their primary home turf is Huskies Stadium located in the centre of the University's campus. John Eric Black (born 1 October 1963) is a Scottish former professional football player and coach. Alexandre Dupuis (born March 23, 1990) is a Canadian football fullback. College career Dupuis played CIS football for the Montreal Carabins from 2010 to 2013. Professional career Toronto Argonauts Dupuis was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts with the 36th pick in the 2014 CFL Draft. He played in 50 regular season games over three years for the Argonauts where he had 20 catches for 213 yards and nine special teams tackles. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. Thomas Miles (born July 31, 1992) is a professional Canadian football linebacker for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
