Correbasket UAT
Correbasket UAT is a Mexican professional basketball team. It has been a member of the LNBP since the 2000 season. History The team was founded as Correcaminos UAT in 1995 as a founding member of the Conferencia de Básquetbol Profesional (CBP). They joined Circuito Mexicano de Básquetbol (CIMEBA) in 1997, and then the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional in 2000. It was the champion in 2002 and reached the league finals twice. The team was renamed Correbasket UAT in 2016. Correbasket is owned by the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas. In 2017, it was profiled in an ESPN article, during which season it finished last in the league. However, forward Grandy Glaze led the league in rebounding. Gymnasium Correbasket UAT plays their home games in the Multidisciplinario Stadium UAT, also known as "El Nido", which has a capacity for 3,500 people.Estadio.

The National Professional Basketball League ( or LNBP) is the top professional basketball league in Mexico. The league was founded in 2000 with 10 teams. Despite its short history, the LNBP has established itself as the one of the most important basketball leagues in Latin America. 2002 LNBP Season
The 2002 LNBP was the 3rd season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on July 30, 2002 and ended on December 7, 2002. The league title was won by Correcaminos UAT Victoria, which defeated Correcaminos UAT Matamoros in the championship series, 4–3. Gallos de Pelea de Ciudad Juárez then defeated Correcaminos UAT Victoria in the ''Campeón de Campeones'' series, 4–0. Format 12 teams participate. The first 8 teams in the regular season standings qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs have quarterfinals (best-of-5), semifinals (best-of-7) and finals (best-of-7). Since Gallos de Pelea de Ciudad Juárez had been absent from the playoffs due to scheduling conflicts, for this season a special additional playoff series named ''Campeón de Campeones'' (Champion of Champions) was played. The Circuito Mexicano de Básquetbol, also known with the acronym CIMEBA, was a professional basketball league in Mexico. The first edition was the 1970–71 season, and it continued until the 2006–07 season, after which the league was discontinued. The league coexisted with the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP) from 2000 to 2007, and with the Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacífico (CIBACOPA) from 2001 to 2007. Oliver Lafayette (born May 6, 1984) is an American-born Croatian former professional basketball player. Standing at , he plays at the point guard and shooting guard positions. High school and college career Lafayette attended Capitol High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and led the basketball team to a 29–3 record his senior year.
