Corporate America (album)
''Corporate America'' is the fifth studio album by American hard rock band Boston, released in 2002. Most editions feature a live version of "Livin' for You". The original version of "Livin' for You" is from Boston's previous full-length album '' Walk On'' (1994). The album also introduced both Anton Cosmo and Kimberley Dahme as both band members and songwriters. This is the last Boston album to feature lead vocalist and founding member Brad Delp, during his lifetime before his death in 2007. It also marked the final appearance of Fran Cosmo. The album sold 32,000 copies in its first week of release and charted at 42 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The album was later pulled from all digital and retail markets by founding member Tom Scholz due to a record company dispute with Artemis. The final page of the CD booklet is dedicated to preserving the environment, providing web links to such organizations as PETA. The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States. It is published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine and is frequently used to convey the popularity of an artist or groups of artists. Often, a recording act will be remembered by its " number ones", those of their albums that outperformed all others during at least one week. The chart grew from a weekly top 10 list in 1956 to become a top 200 list in May 1967, and acquired its current name in March 1992. John David Kalodner is a retired American A&R (artists and repertoire) executive. History John David Kalodner was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was a writer and photographer at ''Concert'' magazine. Charlie Farren is an American musician, composer and guitarist best known as the lead singer of the rock bands The Joe Perry Project and Farrenheit. Farren recently launched his 16th release, most recently on his own FMan Media label, which was established in 1999, and been dedicated to managing his CD and publishing catalog. Tom Scholz
Donald Thomas Scholz (born March 10, 1947) is an American musician. He is the founder, main songwriter, primary guitarist and only remaining original member of the rock band Boston. He has appeared on every Boston album. Scholz is an MIT-trained engineer who designed and built his own recording studio in an apartment basement in the early '70s. A rock fan throughout his teen years, Scholz began writing songs while earning his master's degree at MIT. The first Boston album was mostly recorded in his basement studio, mostly using devices he designed and invented. After the success of Boston, he founded Scholz Research & Development, Inc. to develop and market his inventions, many under the Rockman brand. Scholz holds several patents related to his work at SR&D over the years. Francis Cosmo Migliaccio (born October 17, 1956) is an American musician best known as a former lead singer of the bands Boston and Orion the Hunter. Music career Cosmo was first featured on guitarist Barry Goudreau's self-titled solo album in 1980, a prelude to the formation of Orion the Hunter in 1983. Orion the Hunter released an album in 1984 on Columbia Records, which yielded the hit single "So You Ran". The band opened for Aerosmith in 1984.
