Christ The Cornerstone Church
Church of Christ the Cornerstone is an Ecumenical church in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. It was completed in 1991 and has the Church of England, the Baptist Union, the Methodist Church, the Roman Catholic Church and the United Reformed Church working together to share the space. It is situated in Central Milton Keynes on Saxon Gate, between Midsummer and Silbury boulevards, with the Fred Roche Memorial Gardens behind it. It was the first ecumenical metro centre church in the United Kingdom. History Foundation In late September 1979, a Local Ecumenical Partnership was created. It commenced with a service of dedication in Middleton Hall in Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre. On 6 April 1980, the present congregation met at a site called Centrecom on North Row. At Easter 1981, they moved next door to Milton Keynes Central Library.History

Cornerstone Church, is an independent evangelical church in Nottingham, England. It is one of the largest churches in Nottingham, with some 600 people coming together to worship each Sunday morning. History The church was founded in 1825, as an overflow of the Stoney Street Baptist Church from Nottingham city centre. From a Hyson Green Baptist Church, the congregation moved in 1983 to Raleigh Street in Radford. In 2012 the congregation moved to a new church building on Castle Boulevard in Nottingham. History Cornerstone Church was established in 1994 from its roots as a ministry for Iowa State University college students that was connected with Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Ames. Since this college ministry, The Salt Company, was becoming larger than the church's congregation, Grand Avenue Baptist Church gave approval for the leaders of The Salt Company to found a new organization that was named Cornerstone Church. This name was based on Ephesians 2:20 which states, “…with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.” The first service was held on August 28, 1994 in the evening at Grand Avenue Baptist. History The church was founded as Cornerstone Church of San Diego in 1999 by Sergio De La Mora (born 1966). He and his wife, Georgina de la Mora, were the senior pastors.
