Corey Ivy
Corey Terrell Ivy (born March 21, 1977) is a former American football cornerback. He was signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 1999. He played college football at Oklahoma. Ivy was also a member of the Frankfurt Galaxy, Chicago Enforcers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, St. Louis Rams, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Omaha Nighthawks. He earned a Super Bowl ring with the Buccaneers in Super Bowl XXXVII, beating the Oakland Raiders. Early years He attended Moore High School in Moore, Oklahoma. In American football, a nickelback is a cornerback or safety who serves as the additional defensive back in a nickel defense. A base defense consists of two cornerbacks and two safeties, making the nickelback the fifth defensive back on the field, thus tying the name of the position to the name of the North American 5-cent piece. The Frankfurt Galaxy were a professional American football team that originally played in the World League of American Football and later in the resurrected NFL Europe. The team was based in Frankfurt, Germany and played in the Commerzbank-Arena, formerly called Waldstadion.
