Corey Antonio Hawkins (born October 22, 1988) is an American actor. He is known for his roles in the TV series '' The Walking Dead'' and '' 24: Legacy'', as well as his portrayal of Dr. Dre in the 2015 film ''Straight Outta Compton''. In 2017, he starred in the Broadway production ''Six Degrees of Separation'', for which he received a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play. ''In the Heights'' is a 2021 American musical drama film directed by Jon M. Chu from a screenplay by Quiara Alegría Hudes based on the stage musical of the same name by Hudes and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
