Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club
Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club (''CMFSC''), formerly known as ''FC Xtreme'' and ''Tri-Cities Xtreme'', are a Canadian men's and women's soccer club soccer team, founded in the city of Coquitlam, British Columbia in 2003. The team is a member of the Pacific Coast Soccer League. The Xtreme play their home matches at Dr. Charles Best Secondary School, and previously played at Percy Perry Stadium; both facilities feature newly installed FieldTurf surfaces. Since their founding, the Xtreme have been a dominant force in the PCSL, winning the Dave Fryatt Challenge Cup in 2003 (beating Surrey United), 2004 (beating the Victoria Stars) and 2007 (beating the Whitecaps FC Reserves). Pacific Coast Soccer League
The Pacific Coast Soccer League is an amateur soccer league, currently featuring teams from British Columbia. In the past clubs from Washington and Oregon have competed. PCSL is considered to be British Columbia's premier summer league. The league winners are not eligible for any higher cup competitions; however, most players play in a winter league, such as the VMSL, VISL or FVSL, where teams do participate in BC Provincial Cup qualification. The league has a short, 2.5-month summer season. The league is considered to be a 4th tier competition next to USL League 2. The PCSL comprises elite football players, including ex-pros from Europe and North America, or NCAA or U Sports players and others looking to become professional footballers, or maintain fitness. Percy Perry Stadium is a multi-purpose, fully lit stadium in Coquitlam, British Columbia. It was built for the 1991 British_Columbia_Summer_Games, B.C. Victoria Highlanders FC is a Canadian women's soccer team based in Victoria, British Columbia that plays in League1 British Columbia. The team was founded in 2001 as the Victoria Stars FC. Vancouver Whitecaps (NASL)
Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Vancouver. They compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member club of the league's Western Conference. The MLS iteration of the club was established on March 18, 2009, and began play in 2011 as the 17th team to enter Major League Soccer while replacing the USSF Division 2 team of the same name in the city, making them a phoenix club and the third to carry the Whitecaps name. Garry Ayre
Garry Ayre (born October 12, 1953 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a retired soccer player. He played in the North American Soccer League, the Major Indoor Soccer League and for the Canadian national team. Career He was with amateur side New Westminster Blues in 1976. In 1977 Garry turned professional with the Vancouver Whitecaps played 23 games in that first season and 15 in 1978 before being transferred to the New York Cosmos. With the Whitecaps, Ayre was used in a special midfield role to shadow the opposition's key offensive player. With the Cosmos, Ayre played in Soccer Bowl '78 as a substitute as well as a tour of Europe in the fall of 1978, where the team played against Red Star Belgrade, AEK Athens, Atlético Madrid, Galatasaray and Chelsea.
