Coolie (1995 Film)
''Coolie'' is a 1995 Tamil language film directed and written by P. Vasu. The film stars Sarathkumar and Meena while Radharavi, Raja and Kavitha Vijayakumar play supporting roles. The film opened in April 1995 but fared below critics' expectations. Plot Radharavi is a very rich businessman and has industry with lot of workers. Radharavi bribes the workers union leader Ponambalam if any protest rises from the workers union. Ponambalam cheats the workers by telling the workers that the salary will increase by 5%, but they don't give up till 7% increase and again the workers stand on the ground protesting. Meanwhile, Ponambalam goes inside alone and gets brandy from Radharavi and again comes out telling now at least 6% increase in salary is agreed by Radharavi and thus tries to settle the protest. Seventh Channel Communications is an Indian film production and distribution company formed in 1985. It produced several Tamil language television serials films in the 1990s, and is headed by Manickam Narayanan. History Seventh Channel Communications was set up in 1985 by Manickam Narayanan. After beginning his career as a photographer, Manickam went on to make programmes for Doordarshan. The studio went on to become a premier producer for Tamil television serials and films in the 1990s. During the peak of its operation, the studio was able to attract several film actors to work on television serials including Sivakumar, Roja and S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and composer. He is a recipient of several awards such as the Nandi Awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet. He entered the Tamil film industry in the year 1980, with the film ''Nizhalgal'', an Ilaiyaraaja musical, directed by Bharathiraja. Sridhar is an Indian choreographer who has worked in across India's several regional film industries. He has also appeared as an actor, making his debut with '' Poi'' (2006) and by making cameo appearances in songs he has choreographed. Career Sridhar made his full acting debut in K. Balachander's '' Poi'' (2006), appearing in a supporting role.
