Cooch Behar Cup
The Cooch Behar Cup was an Indian football tournament held in Kolkata and organised by the Indian Football Association. Incorporated in 1893, it was one of the oldest football tournaments in Asia. History The Maharaja of Cooch Behar Nripendra Narayan started the Cooch Behar cup in 1893 in Kolkata where both Indian and European teams participated in the tournament. Indian Football Association
The Indian Football Association, abbreviated as IFA, is the organisation that administers association football in the state of West Bengal, India. It is the oldest Football Association in India and was founded in 1893. Among the founders was former English international Elphinstone Jackson. It organises tournaments such as the Calcutta Football League, the Calcutta Women's Football League and the IFA Shield. From 2021, the IFA also took an initiative to start its own futsal league. Eastern Railway Football Club (formerly known as both the East Bengal Railway FC and Eastern Bengal Railway FC) is an Indian institutional football club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. Founded in 1882, the club currently competes in the CFL Premier Division B. It previously participated and enjoyed success in the highest division of Calcutta Football League. Howrah Union is an Indian multisports club based in the city of Kolkata, whose football team competes in the Calcutta Football League. The club previously competed in Super Division of CFL. Their cricket team plays in the CAB tournaments. History Howrah Union club was formed in 1922, by Panchanon Choungda from Amta, Howrah.
