Latin
Latin (, or , ) is a classical language belonging to the Italic branch of the Indo-European languages. Latin was originally a dialect spoken in the lower Tiber area (then known as Latium) around present-day Rome, but through the power of the Roman Republic it became the dominant language in the Italian region and subsequently throughout the Roman Empire. Even after the fall of Western Rome, Latin remained the common language of international communication, science, scholarship and academia in Europe until well into the 18th century, when other regional vernaculars (including its own descendants, the Romance languages) supplanted it in common academic and political usage, and it eventually became a dead language in the modern linguistic definition. Latin is a highly inflected language, with three distinct genders (masculine, feminine, and neuter), six or seven noun cases (nominative, accusative, genitive, dative, ablative, and vocative), five declensions, four verb conjuga ...

Constantine (name)
Constantine ( or ; Latin: ''Cōnstantīnus'', Greek: , ''Kōnstantînos'') is a masculine and feminine (in French for example) given name and surname which is derived from the Latin name ''Constantinus'', a hypocoristic of the first names Constans and Constantius, both meaning "constant, steadfast" in Latin. The popularity stems from the eleven Roman and Byzantine emperors, beginning with St. Constantine I (the Great). The names are the Latin equivalents of the Bulgarian name 'Костадин' and the Greek name ''Eustáthios'' (Εὐστάθιος), meaning the same, not changing, standing. The name "Constantine" is still very common in Greece and Cyprus, the forms Κώστας ( Kostas), Κωστής (Kostis) and Ντίνος (Dinos) being popular hypocoristics. Costel is a common Romanian form, a diminutive of Constantin. The Bulgarian, Russian and Serbian form is Konstantin (Константин),and their short forms Kostya and Kosta, respectively. Given Name
A given name (also known as a forename or first name) is the part of a personal name quoted in that identifies a person, potentially with a middle name as well, and differentiates that person from the other members of a group (typically a family or clan) who have a common surname. The term ''given name'' refers to a name usually bestowed at or close to the time of birth, usually by the parents of the newborn.
