Conscience Films (also known as Vicdan Filmleri in Turkish, and Խղճմտանքի Ֆիլմեր in Armenian) is a short film competition organized by the Hrant Dink Foundation."Vicdan Filmleri"http://www.vicdanfilmleri.org/ The competition was founded in memory of Hrant Dink. According to Dença Kartun, the project coordinator at the Hrant Dink Foundation for the Films about Conscience project, words by the Assassination of Hrant Dink, assassinated Armenian-Turkish journalist inspired the project. Short Film
A short film is any motion picture that is short enough in running time not to be considered a feature film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits". In the United States, short films were generally termed short subjects from the 1920s into the 1970s when confined to two 35 mm reels or less, and featurettes for a film of three or four reels. The Istanbul Film Festival ( tr, İstanbul Film Festivali) is the first and oldest international film festival in Turkey, organised by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts. It is held every year in April in movie theaters in Istanbul, Turkey. Rakel Dink (born 1959) is a Turkish Armenian human rights activist and head of the Hrant Dink Foundation. She is the last member of the Armenian Varto Tribe who had settled in Cizre. Hrant Dink Foundation is an organization established following the 2007 assassination of Hrant Dink, a prominent Turkish-Armenian journalist, in order to "carry on Hrant’s dreams, Hrant’s struggle, Hrant’s language and Hrant’s heart".
