Conrado Miranda
José Conrado Miranda Sasso (14 October 1928 – 13 October 2021) was a Salvadoran football player and coach who created a legacy in El Salvador. He and longtime partner Juan Francisco Barraza helped evolve football in El Salvador. He was known as ''El Estilista''. Club career His first steps as a player are traced to the Pipiles F.C. His debut at the national level was playing for Independiente de San Vicente. Later he moved to CD Alacranes which was renamed C.D. Atlético Marte at his suggestion. In 1954 Conrado Miranda was contracted as a player by Uruguay de Coronado (Costa Rica) for a 1-year contract. Afterwards he returned to Atlético Marte for a three-year stint but this time as player/coach that produced three national championships (1955, 1956, 1957). San Vicente, El Salvador
San Vicente () is a municipality in the San Vicente department of El Salvador. It was founded by 50 Spanish families in 1635 under the Tempisque tree, which is still standing today. Historic sites One point of interest is the Tower of San Vicente, designed by French Architect Eugenio Basilio Crepiat (the Spanish version of his name), located at the center of the city in Cañas Park. It was damaged by an earthquake in 2001. Repairs have since been made, and the tower is once again the hub of many festivities. Another point of interest is water complex "Amapulapa" which is a water park that has multiple pools a water cascade and multiple restaurants and bars. The city has several local festivals, which take place at Cañas Park. Among these are the gastronomic festivals, which are usually held every month. CONCACAF Champions Cup
The CONCACAF Champions League, known officially as the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League for sponsorship reasons, is an annual continental club football competition organized by CONCACAF. The tournament is contested by clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The winner of the CONCACAF Champions League automatically qualifies for the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup. The tournament currently uses a knockout format; it had a group stage prior to the 2018 competition. Unlike its European and South American counterparts, the winner of the CONCACAF Champions League does not automatically qualify for the following season's competition. Francisco Flores Pérez
Francisco Guillermo Flores Pérez (17 October 1959 – 30 January 2016) was a Salvadoran politician who served as President of El Salvador from 1 June 1999 to 1 June 2004 as a member of the conservative Nationalist Republican Alliance (ARENA). He previously served as a deputy of the Legislative Assembly from 1994 to 1999, having been president of the Assembly from 1997 to 1999. Flores was born in Santa Ana. He entered politics in the Alfredo Cristiani administration, serving various positions until his election to the Legislative Assembly, of which he became president after three years. He successfully ran for president in 1999. His administration was characterized by close alignment with the United States, including the adoption of the U.S. dollar.
