Conny Veit
Wolf Conrad "Conny" Veit (born 5 June 1949) was a German musician, singer, composer and painter, best known for his appearances in Gila and Popol Vuh. His main instrument was the guitar. His name was misspelled "Conny Veidt" in Gila's first album. Biography and career Little is known about Conny's life. In 1969 he founded Gila and, in 1971, recorded their first album, Free Electric Sound. In 1972 he joined Popol Vuh for a short period. According to Conny, ''as for myself, in 1972, aged 21, I decided to move to Munich, because Popol Vuh’s Florian Fricke had invited me to collaborate on his new LP Hosianna Mantra. I had accepted the offer, yet I didn't want to leave Gila because Popol Vuh was a pure studio project. The Sabines (; lat, Sabini; it, Sabini, all exonyms) were an Italic peoples, Italic people who lived in the central Apennine Mountains of the ancient Italian Peninsula, also inhabiting Latium north of the Aniene, Anio before the founding of Rome. The Sabines divided into two populations just after the founding of Rome, which is described by Roman legend. The division, however it came about, is not legendary. Jutta Weinhold (born 19 October 1947) is a German rock singer. Biography Jutta Weinhold was born in Mainz. In the late 1960s, she sang in amateur bands. In 1969, she was engaged in the role of "Sheila" in the musical ''Hair'', followed by engagements in the musicals ''Godspell'' and ''Jesus Christ Superstar'' in 1972. In 1974 she made some appearances with Amon Düül II and appeared in the television program ''Disco''. Weinhold has been playing blues-sessions with the Kaftan-Blues-Band since 1975. In 1976, she released the LP ''Coming'' under her name, which was followed by ''Jutta Weinhold'' in 1978. From 1976 to 1978, she was a guest musician with Udo Lindenberg. As a result, from this collaboration, Udo Lindenberg's first live album, ''Livehaftig'', on which Weinhold had sung all female vocal parts, was released in 1979. Guru Guru
Guru Guru is a German krautrock band formed in 1968 as The Guru Guru Groove by Mani Neumeier (drums), Uli Trepte (bass) and Eddy Naegeli (guitar), later replaced by the American Jim Kennedy. After Kennedy collapsed on stage due to a serious illness, Ax Genrich replaced him to complete the classic Guru Guru line up, in time for their debut album in 1970. Music Guru Guru were related to the free jazz music scene through their work with Swiss pianist Irène Schweizer and through Neumeier, who had already won several jazz prizes. The band was also influenced by psychedelic rock artists, such as Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, Rolling Stones and early Pink Floyd. Daniel Fichelscher
Daniel "Danny" Secundus Fichelscher, (born 3 July 1953 in Berlin), is a German multi-instrumentalist who played a pivotal role in Krautrock band Popol Vuh, was a member of the German group Gila and is currently Amon Düül II's drummer. Fichelscher is the son of jazz pianist and singer Toby Fichelscher. Career Daniel Fichelscher was, for most of their history, Florian Fricke's only stable partner in Popol Vuh. He wasn't a founding member, having joined in 1973 (three years after the group's foundation) for the recording of the album ''Seligpreisung'' and replaced guitarist Conny Veit the following year in 1974. While playing with Popol Vuh, he also occasionally played drums and congas with the Krautrock band Amon Düül II, appearing for example on the albums ''Carnival in Babylon'' (1972), ''Wolf City'' (1972; on which he also sang and played guitar), and ''Vortex'' (1981).
