Connor Morgans
Connor Morgans (born 26 November 1999) is a Welsh radio DJ and producer working across radio and podcasts, currently broadcasting on Radio Cardiff. Early life Morgans was born in Swansea, Wales and grew up in Pencoed, Wales. Career He currently presents the weekend breakfast programme for Radio Cardiff on the current Welsh music scene, playing emerging artists. He has been broadcasting on the station since 2017. Morgans previously presented for Bridgend's Hospital Radio, he won Gold for Best Male Presenter at the HBA UK Awards in 2022. In August 2022, Bridgend's Hospital Radio nominated Morgans as a trustee making him the youngest trustee in hospital radio. Morgans curates an event series of artist performances titled Adlais (Welsh for echo). The first event was held at The Moon in Cardiff in September 2023. Radio Cardiff (98.7 FM) is a community radio station serving Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. It broadcasts on a terrestrial frequency of 98.7 FM, via DAB in Cardiff and streams online via their website and TuneIn. The station was formerly called Beats FM. The station was launched on 31 October 2007 by John Lenney M.B.E. Pencoed ( cy, Pen-coed) is a urbanised community and town in the county borough of Bridgend, Wales. It straddles the M4 motorway north east of Bridgend and is situated on the Ewenny River. At the 2011 census it had a population of around 9,166. Princess Of Wales Hospital
The Princess of Wales Hospital ( cy, Ysbyty Tywysoges Cymru) is a district general hospital in Bridgend, Wales. It is managed by Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. History The hospital was commissioned to replace the aging Bridgend General Hospital. The new hospital, which was designed by Holder Mathias, was officially opened by the Princess of Wales on 11 June 1986. Capital South Wales is a regional radio station owned by Communicorp UK and operated by Global as part of the Capital network. It broadcasts to Cardiff and Newport and the surrounding areas from studios in Cardiff Bay. History The station originally took to the air in Cardiff only. Known as CBC (Cardiff Broadcasting Company), the station launched on 11 April 1980 on broadcasting on FM and AM. Following the closure of neighbouring Gwent Broadcasting in April 1985, CBC began relaying its service as a temporary measure to southern Gwent on FM and AM. This became permanent when CBC re-launched as Red Dragon Radio on 14 October 1985.
