''Conjugal Visit'' ( fa, ملاقات خصوصی, translit=Molāqāt Xosusi, translit-std=ISO, translation=Private Meeting) is a 2022 Iranian romance drama film directed by Omid Shams and written by Shams, Bahman Ark and Ali Sarahang. It stars Parinaz Izadyar and Hootan Shakiba as Parvaneh and Farhad, a couple who met secretly through Farhad's phone in prison which he sometimes borrow it to Parvaneh's father—who is in prison with Farhad—to call his daughter, and started to develop feelings for each other. ''Conjugal Visit'' premiered in competition at the 40th Fajr Film Festival on February 1, 2022, and earned 2 nominations. It was later set to release theatrically on September 29, 2022, but later postpended to January 4, 2023, due to the ongoing protests in Iran. Parinaz Izadyar
Parinaz Izadyar ( fa, پریناز ایزدیار, born August 30, 1985) is an Iranian actress. She has received various accolades, including a Crystal Simorgh and two Hafez Awards. Career Parinaz Izadyar studied graphic design and made her movie debut in 2007 with ''One Man, One City'', and one year later she appeared in Alireza Amini's ''The Same Day'' (2008). She made her first television appearance in Saeed Ebrahimifar's ''Moon In the Shadow'' (2009) TV film. Fajr Film Festival
Iran's annual Fajr International Film Festival ( fa, جشنواره بینالمللی فیلم فجر), or Fajr Film Festival (little: FIFF; fa, جشنواره فیلم فجر), has been held every February and April in Tehran since 1982. The festival is supervised by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. It takes place on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
