Condor (ride)
The Condor is the trade name of an amusement ride sold by HUSS of Bremen, Germany. It was debuted at the 1984 New Orleans World's Fair, under the name "Cyclo Tower". The Condor has 28 steel-framed gondolas, each with a fiberglass shell, frequently painted to resemble a bird. The seats hold one to two people, one sitting behind the other if they decide to ride double. It can accommodate approximately 1,700 riders per hour. The automatic doors on the ride are operated by pneumatic air pressure and are manually opened and closed. The ride uses a cable and counterweight system within the tower to assist with the raising and lowering of the rotating assembly. An AC induction motor located at the end of each arm rotates the gondolas; three more on the middle lifting structure rotate the entire assembly and move the tower. La Ronde (amusement Park)
La Ronde () is an amusement park in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, built as the entertainment complex for Expo 67, the 1967 World Fair. Today, it is operated by Six Flags under an emphyteutic lease with the City of Montreal, which expires in 2065. It is the largest amusement park in Quebec and second largest in Canada. It occupies on the northern tip of Saint Helen's Island–a man-made extension to the island in the vicinity of where the small ''Ronde Island'' had once been, and the origin of the park's name. The park hosts the annual Montreal Fireworks Festival, an international fireworks competition. BonBon-Land
BonBon-Land is a Danish amusement park located in Holme-Olstrup in the South of Zealand, about 100 km from Copenhagen. This 34-acre park attracts about 450,000 each season. History The history of the theme park Bon Bon Land dates back to when the Danish sweets boiler Michael Spangsberg began to produce candies with names that children would find funny, like 'mågeklatter' (Seagull Droppings) 'hundeprutter' (Dog Farts) and 'tissebleer' (Pee Diapers). The candies became popular early on, and children wanted to visit the factory in Holme Olstrup (a small Danish town in the countryside). However, the factory couldn’t offer visiting tours because of strict hygiene regulations, so Michael Spangsberg opened the Bonbon-Land theme park. In 1992, the theme park opened with a mini candy factory, a cinema, a shop, and four small boats shaped like ducks located in a small pond. ''Abenteuer'' (English: "Adventure") is the thirteenth studio album by German schlager singer Andrea Berg. It was released on 30 September 2011 in Germany and soon after in Austria and Switzerland. It marks Berg's second collaboration with Dieter Bohlen. Background Like its predecessor '' Schwerelos'' (2010), ''Abenteuer'' was produced by Dieter Bohlen. The songs were composed by Bohlen, who provided Berg with the melodies for her to write lyrics. According to Berg, ''Abenteuer'' is the first album for which she wrote all the lyrics alone. In the booklet, the singer referred to the development phase of the album as a time "at which life was like shoes adeof lead" and cites her father's death of cancer in April 2011 as one of the reasons. The song "Seelenverwandt" is dedicated to him. The album title, the German word for "adventure", represents Berg's wish to express that every day is a new chance and a first time. Holiday Park is an amusement park in Haßloch, Germany, owned and operated by Plopsa. It is one of Germany's most popular theme parks (receiving about 660,000 visitors per year) and is part park and part woodland. History Family Schneider In 1970 the ''Schneider'' family bought the ''Märchenwald Haßloch'', a fairytale forest. The family had a Liliputan Circus for several generations, where people could watch other people with dwarfism.
