Conditioned (album)
''Conditioned'' is the third full-length studio album from hardcore punk band, Straight Faced. It was released in July, 1998 on Epitaph Records and follows '' Broken'' released in 1996. The album was produced by Ryan Greene, and the track "Let's Do This" appeared on Epitaph Records' Punk-O-Rama Vol. 4 compilation. An alternative version of the track "Regret" appeared on Fearless Records' ''Flush Sampler'' and "Against" was featured in the Electronic Arts' PlayStation game, '' Street Sk8er''. Punk-O-Rama Vol
''Punk-O-Rama'' was the title given to a series of ten compilation albums published by Epitaph Records. The first volume was released in 1994, the second in 1996, and the rest annually from 1998 to 2005. The albums included artists from Epitaph's roster as well as from its subsidiary label ANTI- and its partnership labels Hellcat Records and Burning Heart Records. In total the series included 257 songs contributed by 88 different artists. Rancid and Pennywise are the only bands to appear on all 10 volumes. Scott Radinsky appears on all 10, 1 with Ten Foot Pole and 9 with Pulley. As its title implied, the series featured mostly punk rock and various punk subgenres such as garage punk, hardcore punk, pop punk, post-hardcore, ska punk, skate punk, and street punk. An epitaph (; ) is a short text honoring a deceased person. Strictly speaking, it refers to text that is inscribed on a tombstone or plaque, but it may also be used in a figurative sense. ''Street Sk8er'' - known in PAL territories as ''Street Skater'' - is a skateboarding video game for the PlayStation. It was first released in Japan in 1998 under the name , then was licensed by Electronic Arts for distribution in 1999. It was re-released later in Japan as part of the Simple 1500 series of budget games under the name ''The Skateboard''. It was released on the PlayStation 3 in Europe as a download via the PlayStation Store in May 2008. Gameplay Players attempt to clear each track by scoring a minimum number of points within a set time limit. The tracks consist of obstacles to perform tricks on, including rails, benches and half-pipes. Fearless Records
Fearless Records is an American independent record label that was founded in 1994. Fearless is based in Culver City, California, and is best known for its early pop punk moments captured in the ''Fearless Flush Sampler'' and ''Punk Bites'' releases, as well as additional releases by bands such as Bigwig and Dynamite Boy; and later Sugarcult; Plain White T's; The Aquabats; Amely; and post-hardcore releases by At the Drive-In and Anatomy of a Ghost. Hardcore Punk
Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Its roots can be traced to earlier punk scenes in San Francisco and Punk rock in California, Southern California which arose as a reaction against the still predominant History of the hippie movement, hippie cultural climate of the time. Straight Faced was an American rock music, rock band formed in Huntington Beach, California, United States, in 1992. Origin Straight Faced began as a Huntington Beach, California hardcore band named "Above All" in 1991. The founding members were Eric Glenn Stewart (1973–2007), Ron Moeller, Matthew Polentz, and Samuel Marrs. All members were friends who grew up together in Huntington Beach, California in the late 1980s. Stewart set them up in a warehouse in Santa Ana that his father used to run a construction business out of, and taught the other members how to play. With a handful of originals and cover songs, they played one backyard party.
