Concha Valdés Miranda
Concha Valdés Miranda (July 16, 1928 - August 19, 2017) was a Cuban songwriter and performer of Cuban music. Miranda was born in Havana, Cuba. Her greatest success may have been "El que más te ha querido". It was nominated for the Grammy and the first place in the United States. In addition, she is the author of numerous songs that were popular in the voices of performers such as Toña la Negra, Celia Cruz, Lucía Méndez, Olga Guillot, Tito Rodríguez, Felipe Pirela, Los Panchos, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Santos Colón, Floria Márquez, Ismael Miranda, Tito Nieves, Tito Puente, Sergio Vargas, Johnny Ventura, Cheo Feliciano and Dyango, among others. Many of her compositions have been used as themes in Spanish and Mexican movies. She is among the first artists to become part of the composers of Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame. Sergio Vargas
Sergio Pascual Vargas Parra (Villa Altagracia, Dominican Republic, March 15, 1960) is a performer of merengue and bolero, who was very popular in the 80s and 90s, during the "golden age of merengue" and today remains active as one of the leading figures in Dominican merengue. His brothers, Kaki and Johnny, are also interpreters of the genre and have been by his side for much of their respective musical careers. Vargas was a deputy for the Dominican Liberation Party representing his people Villa Altagracia in the period 2006–2010. Career Known as El negrito de Villa, Vargas participated in the Festival of the Voice organized by the Dominican musician Rafael Solano, where he finished second. Two years later in 1982, he became part of the Dionis Fernández orchestra. ''Jamón'' (, pl. ''jamones'') is a kind of dry-cured ham produced in Spain. It is one of the most globally recognized food items of Spanish cuisine. It is also regularly a component of tapas. Most ''jamón'' is commonly called ''jamón serrano'' in Spain''.'' ''Jamón'' is the Spanish word for ham. As such, other ham products produced or consumed in Spanish-speaking countries may also be called by this name.
