The Comunità tariffale Ticino e Moesano, also known by its marketing name arcobaleno, is a Swiss tariff network covering the whole of the canton of Ticino, together with the Moesano district of the canton of Graubünden. Arcobaleno offers various kinds of tickets, from single tickets to annual season tickets, which are valid on the buses, trains and boats of the operators that are members of the network. Tickets are only valid within the arcobaleno area, and a few operators have further restrictions on which tickets are accepted on which services. Ticket prices are based on zones, with 49 zones covering the whole of the arcobaleno area, whilst season tickets use a coarser zone structure of only 16 zones. Tickets are available from the offices of the operators. Ticket machines sell a range of tickets at railway stations and urban bus stops. Trasporti Pubblici Luganesi (TPL) is a public transport operator in and around the Swiss city of Lugano. TILO ( it, Treni Regionali Ticino Lombardia) is a limited company established in 2004 as a joint venture between Italian railway company Trenord and Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS); both companies participate in the equity of TILO SA with participation of 50%. The company's goal is to develop the regional cross-border traffic between the canton of Ticino and the Region of Lombardy. In 2009 the company carried 6 million passengers. The ''Società Navigazione del Lago di Lugano'' or Lake Lugano Navigation Company (SNL) is a Swiss company operating passenger services on Lake Lugano. The company also operates bus routes in the same area, and is based at Cassarate in the city of Lugano. It was formerly known as the ''Società di Navigazione e Ferrovie per lago di Lugano'' and at one time also operated railways in the area. The passenger boats of the SNL principally provide services for tourist purposes, but they also connect Lugano with other lake-side communities, in both Switzerland and Italy, some of which have no road access. The bus services connect Lugano with Gandria and Campione d'Italia, both of which are also served by boat services.
