Autolinee Regionali Luganesi (ARL) is a public transport operator in the region around the Swiss city of Lugano. It operates bus services from Lugano to various outer-suburban communities. There is some overlap in terms of places served with the Trasporti Pubblici Luganesi (TPL), the Lugano city bus operator, and Autopostale, the regional post bus operator. Cureglia
Cureglia is a municipality in the district of Lugano in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. History Cureglia is first mentioned in 1335 as ''Curea'' or ''Curilia''. In 1468, the village of Comano, which belonged to Cureglia, broke away from the parish of Lugano. Cureglia became an independent parish in 1594. The parish church of S. Cristoforo, was first mentioned in 1420. In the 19th century it was totally rebuilt. The Chapel of S. Maria del Buon Consiglio was built in the 18th century. The village was predominantly agricultural and produced mostly wine and cheese. However, a number of craftsman families, including the Caresana, Rinaldi, Saroli, Tarilli and Brilli, moved away in the 16th and 17th centuries for work in other European countries. Viganello is a Quarter (country subdivision), quarter of the city of Lugano, Switzerland. Viganello was formerly a municipality of its own, having been incorporated into Lugano in 2004. It was first recorded in 1300 as ''de Viganello''. The municipality also contained the village Albonago. Porza is a Municipalities of Switzerland, municipality in the district of Lugano (district), Lugano in the Cantons of Switzerland, canton of Ticino in Switzerland. History Porza is first mentioned around 1297−99 as ''Porza''. 1907-08 several cremation graves along with grave goods from the Iron Age were discovered. During the Middle Ages the Benedictine abbey of San Pietro in Ciel d'Oro owned land in Porza. On a hill northeast of Porza was Trevano castle, which was probably built in the 12th Century by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Como, Bishop of Como. Cadempino
Cadempino is a municipality in the district of Lugano in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. History Cadempino is first mentioned in 1004 as ''Cadampinus''. Originally, it was owned by the Totoniden family of Campione d'Italia. In 844 their lands, including Cadempino, were given to the monastery of S. Ambrogio in Milan. By 1004, Como Cathedral and the Abbey of San Pietro in Ciel d'Oro in Pavia, also owned property in the village. In the 14th Century the Church of SS Gervasio e Protasio was mentioned for the first time. It was part of the parish of Lamone in 1468 and in 1910 was raised to a Vicariate. The grazing rights to the alpine meadows of Alp Traverno and Alp Guzzala were originally shared by Cadempino and Lamone. In 1507 Cadempino's rights were given to Isone.
