Como Secondary College is an independent public co-educational specialist high day school, located in , a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Established in 1969, the College caters for approximately 850 students from Year 7 to Year 12. History The College is located on land that was part of the former Collier Pine Plantation, an area of approximately , planted in 1925 by the WA Forests Department. The College was constructed in 1968, with the first classes commencing in February 1969. The College is open to students of ages 12 to 18 (Year 7 to Year 12). It currently has nearly 900 students attending classes, and often take Rotary exchange students from overseas on school exchange. Rotary Youth Exchange
Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) is a Rotary International student exchange program for students in secondary school. Since 1929, Rotary International has sent young people around the globe to experience new cultures. Currently, about 9,000 students are sponsored by Rotary Clubs every year. Typically, students are sent to another country for a year-long stay, generally living with multiple host families during the year and being expected to perform daily tasks within the household as well as attend school in the host country. Short term exchange programs are also quite common. These typically involve direct student exchanges between two families arranged through Rotary to coincide with major school holiday periods. Hannah Green (born 20 December 1996) is an Australian professional golfer and winner of the 2019 Women's PGA Championship. Early life Green was born in Perth, Western Australia. Education Green attended Como Secondary College and was in the golf academy at the school. Career Green turned professional in 2016. She plays on the LPGA Tour and ALPG Tour.
