Hsu Yen-pu
Hsu Yen-pu (; born 1961) is a Republic of China Army general. Since 1 July 2021, he is the current Commander of the Republic of China Army. He also served as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Republic of China Armed Forces from 2020 to 2021. Career Hsu is of mixed Atayal and Han descent. He is the first commander of the army with aboriginal blood. In 1983, he graduated from the Artillery Division of the Republic of China Military Academy, and subsequently served in other miliary positions, including the commander of the No. 21 Artillery Command and commander of the of the Sixth Army Corps, Chief of Staff of the Tenth Army Corps, and Vice Minister of National Defense. Chiang Chung-ling
Chiang Chung-ling (; 21 September 1922 – 18 March 2015) was a Taiwanese army general, former Minister of Defense and Vice Chairman of the Kuomintang (Chinese Nationalist Party). As Minister of Defense, he called for the use of Sky Horse missiles to rival Chinese M-class missiles. Also, several high-profile military deaths occurred during his term as Minister of Defense. When being questioned by reporters outside the parliament on September 19, 1995, he replied with a rhetorical question, "哪個地方不死人?" ("Where do people not die?"). His reply caused a sensation and public condemnation, and finally he apologized on September 25, 1995. General Chen Pao-yu (; born 1958) is a Republic of China Army General who currently serves as the Chief of the General Staff of the Republic of China Armed Forces. Yen Teh-fa (; born 14 November 1952) is a Taiwanese politician and retired general of the Republic of China Army. His ancestral home was in Nanjing. He was previously the Minister of National Defense and the secretary-general of the National Security Council. Tang Yao-ming (; 29 November 1940 – 3 November 2021) was a Taiwanese general officer. Hau Pei-tsun (, 8 August 1919 – 30 March 2020) was a Mainland Chinese, Chinese politician and military officer who was the Premier of the Republic of China (ROC) from 1 June 1990 to 27 February 1993, and the longest-serving Chief of the General Staff (Republic of China), Chief of the General Staff of the Republic of China Armed Forces from 1 December 1981 to 4 December 1989.
