''Colourmeinkindness'' is the second studio album by English rock band Basement. Background Basement formed in Ipswich in 2010, signing to independent label Run for Cover in August of that year. The band released their debut album, '' I Wish I Could Stay Here'', in July 2011. The group then toured across the UK several times, as well as tour the US and Australia. Composition and production Compared to their past releases, guitarist Alex Henery called the process for ''Colourmeinkindness'' "the most chaotic process we have ever gone about writing a record." The band members would write parts and sent them over email to each other, and exchanges ideas on the parts. With Henery residing in the US, the group were unable to get together and write in a practice space. With ''Colourmeinkindness'', the group "wanted to explore new sounds and techniques ... Basement are an English rock band formed in 2009 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. Their first studio album, '' I Wish I Could Stay Here'', was released in 2011. The next year, '' Colourmeinkindness'' was released, charting on the ''Billboard'' Top 200. After touring in support of ''Colourmeinkindness'', the band went on hiatus in 2012. ''Further Sky'' is an EP by English rock band Basement. The band went on hiatus in July 2012, prior to the release of their second album '' Colourmeinkindness'' in October 2012. They began practicing again around Christmas 2013, composing the song "Jet". Whilst guitarist Alex Henery was in the United States, the rest of the band wrote another song, "Summer's Colour". In late January 2014, they announced the end of their musical hiatus. Along with a cover of the Suede song "Animal Nitrate", the group recorded the aforementioned original songs in early 2014. Recording was done in secret at Livingston Studio 1 in London, with producer Dan Goudie. On 28 July 2014, the ''Further Sky'' EP was released through Run for Cover Records, and was available for streaming three days prior. ''I Wish I Could Stay Here'' is the debut studio album by English rock band Basement. After forming in 2010, the band released a demo and signed to Run for Cover. Following this, the band toured across the UK and Europe in late 2010 and early 2011. They recorded their debut album ''I Wish I Could Stay Here'' in May 2011 at Stuck on a Name Studios in Nottingham. "Grayscale" was made available for streaming in June. ''I Wish I Could Stay Here'' was released a month later. Following this, the group embarked on tours of the UK, the US and Australia. ''AbsolutePunk'' was a website, online community, and alternative music news source founded by Jason Tate (the most recent CEO). Jeremy Enigk (; born July 16, 1974) is an American singer-songwriter, vocalist and guitarist / multi-instrumentalist. He is known as a solo artist, a film score composer, and as the lead vocalist, bassist, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist of the Seattle-based bands Sunny Day Real Estate and The Fire Theft. Sunny Day Real Estate is an American emo/indie rock band from Seattle, formed in 1992. The band currently consists of founding members Jeremy Enigk (vocals, guitar), Dan Hoerner (guitar) and William Goldsmith (drums), alongside Greg Suran (guitar), who originally played with the band between 2000 and 2001, and Chris Jordan (bass), who joined the band in 2022.
