Colony Park F.C.
Colony Park Football Club are a Scottish football club from the town of Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. Colony Park F.C. was established in 1978 by five local Inverurie men, Dod Reid, Wattie Strachan, Bob Gibb, Frank Heldreth and George Mitchell. They are the largest Juvenile football club in North-East Scotland, running teams from under-7 through to under-19 level. In 2011, they successfully applied for membership of the Scottish Junior Football Association, and joined North Region, Division Two for the 2011–12 season. The club also successfully applied for membership of the Scottish Amateur Football Association, and joined Aberdeenshire Amateur Football Association in Division Three. This has allowed former youth players to continue with the club and bridged a gap between age group football and the Highland League. Inverurie
Inverurie (Scottish Gaelic: ''Inbhir Uraidh'' or ''Inbhir Uaraidh'', 'mouth of the River Ury') is a town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland at the confluence of the rivers Ury and Don, about north-west of Aberdeen. Geography Inverurie is in the valley of the River Don at the centre of Aberdeenshire and is known locally as the Heart of the Garioch. It sits between the River Don and the River Ury and is only from the imposing hill of Bennachie. The town centre is triangular and is dominated by Inverurie Town Hall built in 1863. In the middle of the 'square' (as it is known locally) is the Inverurie and District War Memorial, capped by a lone Gordon Highlander looking out over the town. Darren Mackie
Darren Graham Mackie (born 5 January 1982) is a Scottish former footballer who, most recently, played for Inverurie Loco Works as a player/coach. Mackie was born in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and previously played as a striker for Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League between 1998 and 2012, with a loan spell at Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2004. Club career Aberdeen Mackie, a product of the Aberdeen youth system, started his professional career with the club in 1998. He also had a brief loan spell at Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2004. Longside F
Longside is a village located in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, consisting of a single main street. It lies seven miles inland from Peterhead and two miles from Mintlaw on the A950. Its population in United Kingdom Census 2001, 2001 was 721. The River Ugie flows through it. It lies in the centre of what was the ancient parish of Longside, which was established in 1641 and covered an extensive area. There are a number of listed buildings in the village. During the First World War, the most northerly Royal Navy air station was based within the parish and there was also an active airfield used during World War II on a different site close to the village. Amenities include a local Parish Church, a primary school, and a junior football club, Longside F.C. Scottish Junior Football North Division One
The Scottish Junior Football North Division One known as the McBookie.com First Division was the second tier of the North Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association. Clubs at the end of the season would be promoted to the North Superleague. From 2011, the division comprised two West and East sections running in parallel. Two years later the North Division Two, which clubs had previously been relegated into, was abolished as part of this change. From the 2016–17 season, the runners-up in each section played off for the right to meet the third-bottom club in the North Superleague for an extra promotion/relegation spot. The North region leagues were restructured again for season 2017–18 with the creation of the North First Division and North Second Division (essentially returning to the pre-2011 setup). Barry Robson
Barry Gordon George Robson (born 7 November 1978) is a Scottish football coach and former player who currently works for Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership. Robson played as a midfielder for several clubs in Scotland, England and Canada and represented Scotland internationally. Robson began his career as a youth player with Rangers before spells with Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Dundee United and finally Celtic in his native Scotland. A move to England followed, where he spent two and a half years with Middlesbrough. Robson then moved to Canada to play for MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps FC before returning to England after one season to sign for Sheffield United. Robson returned to Scotland, joining Aberdeen in summer 2013. He retired from professional football in 2016 and took up a coaching position with Aberdeen.
