Colm McCullagh
Colm McCullagh is a former Gaelic football Gaelic football ( ga, Peil Ghaelach; short name '), commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA or Football is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kic ...er who played for the Dromore St Dympna's club and the Tyrone county team. He was a member of the 2005 All-Ireland SFC winning panel with his county and won the League and Championship double with his club in 2007. After quitting association football in 2006 after he left Newry City, McCullagh became a more prominent member of the Tyrone set-up, scoring three points in Tyrone's opening National League game, a draw with Kildare. In 2008, he played a big part in Tyrone's All-Ireland SFC-winning season, with more than one or two man-of-the-match performances. Dromore St Dympna's GFC
Dromore St Dympna's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village of Dromore in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. History The club was established in 1933. On Sunday 14 October 2007, Dromore made history by winning the Tyrone Senior Football Championship for the first time by beating Coalisland 0-14 to 0-4 at Healy Park, Omagh. On Sunday 18 October 2009, Dromore won their second Tyrone Senior Football Championship by beating Ardboe 1-14 to 1-13. Captain Colm McCullagh converted a penalty three minutes into injury time in dramatic circumstances at Healy Park Omagh. Gaelic football ( ga, Peil Ghaelach; short name '), commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA or Football is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team's goals (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the football up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). In the game, two types of scores are possible: points and goals. A point is awarded for kicking or hand-passing the ball over the crossbar , signalled by the umpire raising a white flag. The Tyrone Senior Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the LCC Group ''Tyrone Senior Football Championship'') is an annual Gaelic football competition contested by top-tier Tyrone GAA clubs. The Tyrone County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association has organised it since 1904. In 2022, the ''Irish Independent'' said of the Tyrone SFC: "Tyrone can rightly lay claim to the most competitive senior football championship of them all just by the range of different winners it has produced over the last decade".
