Collingwood Park is a north-eastern suburb of Albany, Western Australia, just west of the Emu Point holiday resort along King George Sound on the west bank of Oyster Harbour. Its local government area is the City of Albany. It was gazetted in 1979. Geography Collingwood Park is bounded by Collingwood Road to the northwest and Middleton Bay to the southeast, lying between Emu Point and Seppings. Most of the suburb consists of natural bushland, with a couple of small residential pockets. Facilities Collingwood Park is home to the Albany Golf Course, an 18-hole links course first developed in 1898, with a new clubhouse that was built in 2000. Albany ( ; nys, Kinjarling) is a port city in the Great Southern region in the Australian state of Western Australia, southeast of Perth, the state capital. The city centre is at the northern edge of Princess Royal Harbour, which is a part of King George Sound. The central business district is bounded by Mount Clarence to the east and Mount Melville to the west. The city is in the local government area of the City of Albany. While it is the oldest colonial, although not European, settlement in Western Australia - predating Perth and Fremantle by over two years - it was a semi-exclave of New South Wales for over four years until it was made part of the Swan River Colony. A links is the oldest style of golf course, first developed in Scotland. Links courses are generally built on sandy coastland that offers a firmer playing surface than parkland and heathland courses. The word "links" comes via the Scots language from the Old English word '' hlinc'': "rising ground, ridge" and refers to an area of coastal sand dunes and sometimes to open parkland; it is cognate with ''lynchet''. West Coast Eagles
The West Coast Eagles are a professional Australian rules football club based in Perth, Western Australia. The club was founded in 1986 as one of two expansion teams in the Australian Football League (AFL), then known as the Victorian Football League. The club plays its home games at Perth Stadium and has its headquarters at Lathlain Park. The North Albany Football and Sporting Club, more often referred to as North Albany, is an Australian rules football club located in Albany, Western Australia. Nicknamed the roos, the club play in the Great Southern Football League, with home games being hosted at Collingwood Park. Collingwood Park is a stadium located in the suburb Collingwood Park, Western Australia, Collingwood Park in the city of Albany, Western Australia. Craig David Parry (born 12 January 1966) is an Australian professional golfer.
