Welsh ( or ) is a Celtic language family, Celtic language of the Brittonic languages, Brittonic subgroup that is native to the Welsh people. Llandwrog
Llandwrog (; Welsh language: meaning 'The church of Saint Twrog') is a village and community in Gwynedd, north-west Wales, most notable for the presence of the headquarters of Welsh record label Sain and the site of Caernarfon Airport. It has a population of 2,466, increasing to 2,539 at the 2011 Census. The community includes the villages of Groeslon, Carmel, Gwynedd, Y Fron, Dinas Dinlle, and Cilgwyn. Coleg Menai (meaning: ''Menai College'') is a further education college located in Bangor, Gwynedd, Wales. The college also has campuses in Parc Menai, Llangefni, Caernarfon and Holyhead. The college provides a range of academic and vocational courses including A levels, Apprenticeships, English for Speakers of Other Languages programmes and Access courses. It also offers some higher education courses in conjunction with Bangor University, Glyndŵr University and the University of South Wales. Coleg Llandrillo (English meaning: Llandrillo College) is a college in the north of Wales. After its merger in 2012, Grwp Llandrillo Menai became Wales' largest further education institution. History The college (which originally only included the main campus at Rhos-on-Sea) was opened as Llandrillo Technical College by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, on 23 June 1965. The word "Technical" was removed from the name of the college in response to the college's shift towards teaching academic as well as vocational subjects. The name Coleg Llandrillo Cymru was adopted around 2002 and was intended to imply that the College is for the whole of Wales. Dr Williams School
Dr Williams' School was a school founded in Dolgellau in 1875. It opened its doors in 1878 and continued until it was closed in 1975. Samuel Holland was actively involved in setting the school up and became its first Chairman of the Board of Governors. The first head was Eliza Ann Fewings who lead the school for the first ten years. She went on to found a school in Brisbane and returned to establish the first YMCA in Wales. The site of the school is now occupied by Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. Caernarfon
Caernarfon (; ) is a royal town, community and port in Gwynedd, Wales, with a population of 9,852 (with Caeathro). It lies along the A487 road, on the eastern shore of the Menai Strait, opposite the Isle of Anglesey. Glynllifon
Glynllifon is the name of the old estate which belonged to the Barons Newborough, near the village of Llandwrog on the main A499 road between Pwllheli and Caernarfon in Gwynedd, Wales. The original mansion was until recently a privately owned hotel. Parc Glynllifon The greater part of the original park, Parc Glynllifon, now includes Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor's agricultural college, craft workshops and many educational facilities. Pwllheli () is a market town and community of the Llŷn Peninsula ( cy, Penrhyn Llŷn) in Gwynedd, north-western Wales. Grŵp Llandrillo Menai (GLlM) is an umbrella organisation overseeing the operation of three member colleges in North Wales: Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. It is Wales's largest further-education (FE) institution and one of the largest FE college groups in the UK.
