Cole Valley Christian High School
Cole Valley Christian Schools is a private Christian school system in Meridian, Idaho. It is divided into an elementary campus and a secondary campus. History In 1972 the school began operations as Cole Christian School. Its initial enrollment was 13. In an August 1999 article, the '' Idaho Statesman'' reported a 3.6% increase in private school enrollment over the previous year. Valley Christian High School was founded in 1990, and merged with Cole Christian School in 1999 to become Cole Valley Christian School. About 2012 the school opened The Idaho Learning Center & Academy for students who had difficulty studying. The initial enrollment of that program was below 20. According to Anna Webb of the ''Idaho Statesman'', circa 2007-2017 the number of students at Cole Valley "has risen steadily", with the elementary division having the highest growth. Meridian, Idaho
Meridian is a city located in Ada County in the U.S. state of Idaho. As of the 2020 census, the population of Meridian was 117,635, making it the second largest city in Idaho after Boise. Meridian is considered the state's fastest-growing city and among the fastest-growing cities in the United States. The Idaho High School Activities Association (IHSAA) oversees high school athletics and activities in the state of Idaho. The ''Idaho Statesman'' is the daily newspaper of Boise, Idaho, in the western United States. It is owned by The McClatchy Company. History The paper was first published as the ''Idaho Tri-Weekly Statesman'' on July 26, 1864, by James S. Reynolds; it began publication from a log cabin on the current site of Boise City Hall. Reynolds owned and operated the paper for its first eight years, selling to Judge Milton Kelly in 1872. Kelly's 17-year run ended in 1888, with the expansion to daily publication, and a name change: The ''Idaho Daily Statesman''.
